Toolbox and tools worth anything?

Hello fellow toolboxers! I am interested to see if you know if these tools and tool chest are worth anything. I need to make two separate posts since o can only upload ten pictures.

Here are the hand saws in the box. I took pictures of the handle close up and then the whole saw. The picture with the “miller” sign is in the actual tool chest itself

Looking across the three posts, Chas Meyer cider was active at least 1907-12. Assuming they used wood from a crate to build the toolbox, so 100ish years old. The metal skin makes it a bit nicer. What I've seen in 20 years of watching these is that a matched set from the era, with any apparent provenance linking the pieces together, might draw a little more money, but most people won't drop the big $$ to acquire it.

I've seen beautiful boxes with many matching pieces asking $600, and no nibbles, on several sites.

The flaws with yours are several, Including a fairly recent oil spout (60s?), Mechanic's tools, circ saw blade, in a box normally used by a traveling carpenter of some type, whether construction or finish carpentry. This might have been demoted to a shop or farm box after someone retired.

The two saws are both nice makers, but I can't tell you ages on those brands. Are any of the tools marked with an owners name that might help tie it together? You can go to the disstonian institute website under their medallions page and try to match up features of the medallions to your Simonds and Atkins saws, they should be at least close on the patented saw nuts used.

The plastic handled Disston, not so much.

A saw user would have kept triangular files to sharpen on the fly, a portable saw vise would have made it easier, but I don't see one. The divided tills (trays) are a nice touch.

I bought a pair of decent but dirty boxes like that some years back, full of tools, for $200. Those in the know knew one tool was worth more than the entire asking price, but others have balked at $50 for similar empty boxes.
