Hi everyone been a member for a while and lingering, i recently purchsed this box for my home to store my jigsaw and drills etc all ny home tools, i live in terraced house so be in my cupboard under the stairs.

Degreased and pressure washed then sprayed sliders with some light lube to stop rust.

Was going to do full refurb and paint etc but no time at the minute to do it. Does have rust in places, once dry will the rust stop or can rust still spread ? Thinking may just put some polish on and wax maybe and leave as it is what you think ?

Also one of springs from drawer slides is missing may see snap on van at work vut not sure they wil have any but cleaned up well anyway here is a few pics before and after, only sirting in cupboard so dont need perfect and can do when have more time just aslong as rust wont spread etc ?

Any comments or advice welcome
Thanks dean

As long as you aren't getting it in really humid and salty environments it should be okay.

Inside a dry environment will be fine. I've rubbed oil on rust before just as a fail safe until I'm ready to clean, sand, paint. You'll be fine. Wax will work as well.

I don't really have anything nice enough to put a ton of thought into what I am lubing the slides. Jut whatever's closest around if it starts bugging me.
Wax, white lithium etc should be fine.
