I was cleaning out my box and moving stuff I don't/won't use into some boxes for storage... How does this look. Mainly most of the plomb and proto ratchets got moved as they are little clunky next to my dual 80's...

Oh you are wrong, moparhound and others have a lot more stuff than I do. Also I am a weekend wrencher... So I don't have a lot of stuff like most of the mechanics on here.

Let me know your address and I can drive over and dispose of those extras for you. I'll cover my gas so you won't have any expenses!

There's a little bit of room left in my RemLine cabinet. I sure could store some tools for you if you needed to free up some more space!

Get some of those desiccant bags to toss in the boxes, the drawers and boxes I have them in all the tools have remained rust free (don't mind the rust tools buy the bag, they were already rusty).

I do need a bigger box, but I can't get one until we move into a house with a bigger garage, the one car doesn't cut it for a bigger box.

How do you decide which ratchet to pick out when you need one? :)

I actually use the FX80 or FLF80 as they have always been my favorite design starting from my first snapon ratchet, an f731 flex head. I do also use my zyklops when I can also as I like the feel and quality. The rest are for a time when you have to use one to get the job done because nothing else will fit or work.

48548 doesn't use ratchets twice. Each job gets a fresh ratchet, then they go into storage after the job is over...

Looks like 48548 is in Arizona. He won't have the rust issues we have in Chicago. My guess is that any rust you see was on the tools before they got to him.

That is correct and why our cars last longer, :bounce: I do have some bags of that stuff I keep with my Pentax cameras and other things I care about. Tools don't seem to have any problems out here.

Bought a RemLine ProSeries 42" bottom unit at Mac's in West Fargo about 3 or 4 years ago. Excellent box for the money. Need a little more space so I might save up for a new series (QXL??) RemLine top box. :) Dad has a RemLine 26" top and bottom box with a side unit. Really cool setup. Not reeallly old, but it has the old-style drawer pulls on it! Didn't cost a lot either. I remember he got the top and bottom at a part's place here in town. Side unit came from Mac's. :) Bet your RemLine was pretty cool.:)

sk farmer, do you shop in Farm City Supply (I think that is the name?) in Wahpeton/Breck? Bought my Lawn Boy mower there a few years ago. Don't remember what brand of tools they sold though.

Thanks Sk farmer! I do remember there being a lot of Quality items in the store and the service was great too. Haven't been there for a while now. Might have to stop there next time I pass thru town. BTW, can I sign a slip with your "x" next time I stop?? :lol_hitti
