Toolbox drawer layout?

I recently bought a krl722. I'm trying to find the best way to set up drawers. Is there a thread on where people put up their drawers? I got a basic set up now but I just wanna make it more efficient for space

Its tough, trust me.

Top deep drawer for sockets, ratchets, extensions, and all the other good related stuff.

First skinny drawer for wrenches. The one under that for pliers and/or screwdrivers.

Bottom big drawer is where you keep things like a come-a-long if you have one, a sledgehammer, maybe knee pads or a kneeling pad, gloves, etc. Its more of a storage drawer.

Bottom left big drawer is good for chemicals and cans since they can stand upright.

After that, youre pretty open to how things feel for you. I just set most of my boxes up the way I described. Its more natural feeling.

Put all your regular daily use tools up high where you won't be bending over all the time to get them. Sockets, ratchets, extensions, pliers, screwdrivers, hammers, prybars ect. all up high. All the specialty and less used tools down low.
As mentioned above, the top wide drawer is for sockets and drive tools, you'll be in and out of that drawer a lot.

Your asking a big question to be answered here as each of us has a bit different job we do so the toolbox layout will be to suit the what you work on and how you work. Is this a home box, auto tech, industrial millrite, or some other trade? Is the box portable and moved a lot or stashed under a bench never to move again. Are you a plumber, mechanic, computer tech or just like shiny bits and baubles?

Layout of the box will come with experience and the tools you buy and use. Make it yours.

Leave the top 2 drawers empty.!!!!!!!!!! About 3 and 4 down put all the sets. As one starts work take individual tools from sets and as used most common toss them in top drawers. If I didnt use something in a week or so toss back in set in bottom drawers.

Only bad thing about this is you have to close the main drawer to get in some of the others. In my own shop where I can tailor the boxes dont mean much, only there to store stuff I dont use. I actually like a few trays on top of the box to toss my most general tools, couple cigar boxes etc that type of thing for a couple screwdrivers, couple nut drivers some pliers a hammer a ratchet and couple sockets I use along with half a dozen combo wrenches.

I use that stuff so often doesnt evwen make sense to put it away.

I have the commonly used stuff at handy levels.
Sockets in the bottom box large drawer / Pliers just above in the top box bottom drawer / Screwdrivers in the top box bottom small right drawer / 1/4" drive just above that

Convenience is the key to drawer layout.

Then either group by tool type or tools needed to complete a task.
