Does anyone make a top box or intermediate box that is just 2 full length drawers? I have a Mac Tech Series box...somewhere around 50" wide, and I have outgrown it. I love the full length deep drawer for all my sockets/ratchets...but I'd like a couple more for my pliers, screwdrivers, and wrenches (which would free up 4 drawers for my electrical tools, punches/chisels, air tools, etc...which are housed in two HF 5-drawer carts now).

Ideally, I'd like the full top box...but I can't afford it.

Yes, but they ain't cheap, especially for the space they provide. If it was me, I would probably try to add an older quality 27 or 33" wide top box.

EDIT
A little more info. I know Snap on Makes one, I don't know the model off the top of my head. Craftsman and SO both make a single drawer riser as well as matco IIRC. Again, not common and not cheap in^2/$ wise

There is nothing I know that is a direct match to a 50" tech series. SO has a two drawer 40" middle box in the KRA line. Matco has a middle section, but is 54" wide. Craftsman has a single 40" drawer. So yes there are options. Come to think of it, Mac did make some top boxes without lids for the tech boxes, I don't know if they still do. I think one box was three wide 4" drawers.

if your mac guy has been around awhile mac did release exactly what you are looking for for the tech series box. they were not cheap but i have not seen anything on them for awhile. I personally say the flyer/catalogue with a 3 drawer if i remember correctly i had a 2inch and 2 4 inch and was built for the techs should have bought 1 instead of a top box. if i only new then what i know now

Thanks for the help. I don't work somewhere where tool trucks come, so they are no help to me. Looks like I might start looking at the HF/Homak/Craftsman 41" and/or 46" top boxes.

I'd love to grab two of the Craftsman 26" boxes that are on sale now...but there are none near me. I'd mount them side-by-side.
