Toolbox Help

Hi,

I've been lurking here a while and learned a ton reading up on old posts, but now I have a question I need some help with. I'm looking to buy a good quality toolbox for home use and I found this on craigslist (http://baltimore.craigslist.org/tls/1309319131.html) a 6 drawer Allen brand toolbox the seller claims is made by Matco for $200. I've tried to figure out what this box is worth, but I can't find anything like it for sale. I tried googling, and found out that Allen is a Danaher Brand that's affiliated with Armstrong (at least when I go to the Danaher site and click on Allen it takes me to the Armstrong page). But the 6 drawer Armstrong boxes are pretty different from this one (different dimensions) so it isn't just a re-badge. Does anyone have any idea if this is a good deal?

I hear you about making him an offer, but I'm not the most knowledgeable guy on the forum, so I was hoping someone might be familiar with these boxes to give me an idea of what a good offer might be.

I know I can always go and check out the movement of the drawer slides and how solid the construction looks/feels, but it's also nice to have an idea of what something is selling for either new or on the second hand market.

well, you don't buy much for 200 dollars if it is new. start at half and work up maybe you get it for 150. looks like a lot more quality than a 150 dollar cman to me. plus no pay to the governer. i do not think it would be a you **** but it only matters if you like it and think you got a good deal.
