I want to get my roll away, intermediate, and top chest all on one key. It’s a craftsman 41 inch set, so 6 locks total. Is there a company selling keyed alike sets for this kind of project?

McMaster Carr. Find the camlock design you want and select them to be keyed alike.

Any locksmith can sell you the locks keyed alike.. if the boxes are in your home garage simple wafer locks would probably be adiquate and certainly the least expensive. Otherwise go with tubular locks.. much more difficult to pick and about 10 bucks a lock. If you need high security then medeco are not only pick resistant they are also drill resistant. They run around 50 per lock. As it sounds like you may have different brands i would recommend pulling all the locks to be sure you get the proper size as they can range from 3/8" to 1 1/2" in length.

absolute no point in high security locks on boxes like these, you can pretty much open them with bit of force by hand and with a prybar you quicker than the key .

As said you should be able source lock sets easily online or local hardware/locksmiths .

It’s to keep the kids out of my tools lol. I’m not worried about theft nearly as much as loss from unauthorized use

Going with that theory no high security lock is needed... just about ANYTHING can be opened with forch.. ive seen safes pried open with a pry bar...
You have a 10,000.00 box with 50+ grand in tools.. sure i see the point in using a 3.00 pot metal lock

it not a 10k box and point being if you don't want fancy lock you likely find a suitable style keyed alike very easily .
On an item where lock barrel not weakest link no point being dramatic or overspending on the lock ...

You’re way overestimating my tool collection and boxes lol. Knock a few zeros off and it’s way closer lol.

Jland- dont be obtuse. If you think any tool box sized lock is safe, youre a fool. 3 minutes with a prybar and your precious $10000 box is torn open and your "50 grand" in tools are gone. Not to mention the ridiculous notion that a cman box would cost 10k. Hell be fine.

while i agree that he'll be fine with a cheap lock, the point of a good (expensive) lock over a cheap one isn't strictly to prevent entry. it's also to prevent undetected entry.

As i am fairly new to this group i was unaware that someone asking for advice meant in actuality telling him what to do... i simply offered a man advice based on my experience.. 3 options.. none recommended over the other. As for my being "obtuse" i never said it couldnt be pried open.. i actually stated i have seen safes, actual safes made in america designed to keep yoir valuables "safe" pried open.. in fact many gunsafes are made from 18ga steel.. they can be pried open.. would you call a guy obtuse for putting a high security lock on it?
Having said all that and basically being told i am an idiot .. i will just crawl into the shadows.

Yes, i would call someone obtuse for putting a high security lock on a gun safe to protect a single ruger .22 (the equivalent to what the guy is saying he has for tools). That said, it would make much more sense to put said lock on a gunsafe, as a gun, even a .22, can certainly be a lethal weapon, so its hardly a fair comparison. Now, more to the point- its not a 10k dollar box with 50k in tools. Its a home box, in a home shop. The guy was upfront with this. He doesnt need a high security lock on a not very secure box to start with. Your suggestion was simply spend more money for the sake of spending money.. if this causes you to slink off.. well, ok i guess?
