Hey guys, I scored a vintage Craftsman toolbox at antique/junk shop in my little town for $5. It has the crown logo so from what I've read, this makes it 1960s vintage? I will post a pic later today. I'm at work now, ha. It doesn't have any significant dings or dents but the paint is in horrible shape. What have you used to re-paint your vintage tool boxes? I'm thinking of using hammered rustoleum paint but not sure how durable that would be for a toolbox. Also, what do you with the latches and handle brackets? The plating on the handle brackets is not in good shape and they have some rust. They are (of course) riveted on and I do not want to remove them so I feel like my option is pretty much limited to painting them. Any tips/tricks would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
