toolbox rust

i have a snapon toolbox with a little rust and paint peeling on the bottom.. how do you guys fix it?? trim? any ideas? would like it to look pretty when done

Scrape off the loose rusty bits, sand, primer and paint. Color match as close as possible and since its on the bottom nobody but you may notice.

As above, but use clear matte paint, to seal it. Most paints won’t match, so if you are picky, leaving some raw metal and some paint, may suit you. I refer to it as arrested decay, to stop further rust.

How old of a box? I have seen Snapon warranty peeling paint before.

I'd start by calling your dealer or his DM if he's being dificult. I had a 10 year old 88" Macsimizer and the bottom was all rust and the paint was flaking. Figured I had nothing to lose so I contacted the DM, he put through the warranty info, didn't hear anything for about a month, and out of no where I got a call from my distributor saying he had a brand new box waiting for me, and in a much nicer color, power drawer, and drawer layout to boot.

Yes. I don't know exactly how it works out but from what the dealer that delivered the new one told me, the old one was resold before he even picked it up.

The DM would set it up with a driver to make the trip to deliver and pickup the old box. I wasn't in a shop at the time, just some guy on the street contacting people I knew.
