Toolbox shim plate help

I am trying to level a toolbox with a workbench that has casters with 4x4-1/2 caster plates and a 4-bolt pattern. I need to raise the front by 5/16 of an inch but I can't find any caster plates in that thickness. I don't have any tools that can cut 5/16 shim stock which is what all the hardware places have. Any suggestions? I thought about stacking washers on the 4 bolt holes but that would leave the caster plate unsupported.

Can you just put a piece of plywood under the wheel?

Unless I'm missing something, adding 5/16 under the caster will make it 3 legged whenever you wheel it somewhere else.

Search for caster weld plates. There are folks on Etsy and eBay who can make custom plates for you.

I found a caster company that had 1/4 inch shim plates that were only $4.00 each and I got them in 2 days. Those leveled everything just fine except for the wheel on the right side (uneven floor) so I used a plastic shim. Now that I have the toolbox loaded its pretty solid.
