I bought a husky 9 drawer toolbox from Home Depot a couple months ago. The drawers on the top box do not lock in when the drawer is pushed closed like the bottom drawers. I called husky and they sent me out stoppers for the slides but no instructions:mad:.i have searched around to maybe find how to install them but nothing came up. I called husky but they are closed. I am hoping maybe one of you guys knows how to install these, I am not sure if it's right in front of me how to install them or really hard:lol_hitti. I have attached a pic of the drawers from my box and the stoppers they sent me

Cheers:beer:

Take the drawer out altogether. Look at the very end of the drawer slide inside the box. Do you see a small piece of metal sticking out from the slide? If you do, those stoppers should slide onto each one. They pop into the backs of the slides riveted to the drawer when you push the drawer all the way in and hold it in place.

Thanks coleman10 I took the drawers out and found them. Most of them were crunched and destroyed plus being bent like crazy. Anyways I bent them back and slid them on. They now work flawlessly. Thank you for the help cheers:)

Great CS from Husky but those "stoppers" should not have worned out so fast. I've have several old tool cabinets that have never mangled these "stoppers". Over time there might be some wear due to the friction with the ends of the sliders. I would check to make sure the ends of the sliders engage these "stoppers" smoothly.

I checked that they were correctly. Also I am not sure how they did get that mangled and destroyed. I had to bend the piece of metal back to where it's suppose to be to slide the new ones on. I bought this in august of 2014 so I have had it about 4 months. I am just glad they sent me new ones. Before when the box was unlocked the top 5 drawers would slide open and almost tipping the box.

No they worked fine for about 3 months then they slowly went downhill from there. I called a week and a half ago and then they sent me out the new stoppers which I received today

Strange that they got mangled and the metal pushed back. This would make me think that the slides are riveted incorrectly onto the drawer, allowing the back of the drawer to go past where it should rest when it is closed properly, bending the metal tabs. After some normal use, I would pull the drawers back out and see if things are starting to get bent up again. If so, I'd push for a new box.
