Making a long distance move. Moving companies are asking what my toolbox weights. I have never thought about it. Has anyone ever weighed theirs. Mine is just the average size, two cabinet rolling box.

good luck, that is like me to ask you how much would you charge me to mow my lawn. You don't know how big my lawn is or if it is on the side of a hill. No easy way to answer your question

Call three friends and have them bring their bathroom scales over. If you don't have a scale yourself, call a 4th friend.

Moving companies are famous for "losing or misplacing" attractive items that you pay to move, but never receive. Create plenty of documentation and photos of everything you value.

& cut a piece of plywood to cover the front, put a couple of ratchet straps around the entire box to keep it in place.
I once saw someone construct a crate to completely enclose their toolbox apart from the wheels poking out the bottom & lined it with cut up HF moving blankets. Strangely enough, it survived a trip across country without a scratch :)

I work in the moving and storage industry. can you post a picture of your box ? this would help with giving you a weight estimate. are you military ? is this a pcs move or are you paying for it ?

There is no way in hell I'd move the box full. Put the tools in totes that lock. A little bit of $$$ but much better peace of mind.

2,000lbs. No idea how close your box weighs to this, but I'm going to guess that's near average.
