Toolbox?

I've had this toolbox for many years. Can't find any identifying marks.
Anybody seen one like it?

I do have a similar S-K carry box that I believe was made in 1944 but the hasp and tray aren’t the same. Postwar S-K carry boxes are very similar but they all have a metal tag riveted on.

The carry handle on the OP's box is cast, as opposed to being formed out of sheet metal. The rivets that attach the handle to the box have been replaced with screws on one side, so that handle may not be original. (I'll bet it is though). The shape of those attachment pieces is different than the S-K examples I've seen and may be a clue as to the maker.

The rivets for the handle look original. The replacement flat head screws are different from each other. And the backside nuts are different, one square, one hex.
I wish I could remember where I got this box. But very possibly from my grandfather when he passed in 1986.

I was just about to make a new post for help with my toolbox, when I came across this thread. OP’s toolbox has similar features as mine, specifically the handle and hardware.

Does anyone have any further input on the origin of mine and OP’s boxes?
