Did you try getting a quote from Rousseau? They make high quality boxes, and the you can customize them as needed. Last I checked the prices were way less than truck prices for a similar quality product.

If you do go to Michigan check out the Masterforce boxes at Menards. They are 24” deep and much better made than the ****** HF boxes.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone been able to find decent toolboxes in Canada at non took truck prices? Looking for something 25 inches or so deep but it seems like all the big box stores carry are the shallow boxes. I look at the American Home Depot website and they have plenty of options for deeper tool boxes.

The only I can find is a maximum tool box that is 30 inches deep but that runs for $3k which is pretty crazy.

5-year thread resurrection!

Guess I'll add that KMS has tool boxes remarkably similar to the past generation harbor freight boxes.

Also, all of this depends on what grade of box you're after. You can get a pro-grade 72" box from Husky for example, but it's $3500. A bargain compared to the tool truck, but devastatingly high compared to Maximum.

Husky is my go to now. Rather use harbour freight for stuff I dont see up here much.

next on my list is a red bottom and intermediate box to put my first ever box from 30 years ago.

then I may ditch that Amazon “SPG International” box I can’t get slides for. Hell if I can find slides I will easily convert it and it’s side box back into a side work bench as it’s got a window right there.
