Toolcraft 4.5 inch Jointer

I recently looked at the above which is a bottom of the line Montgomery Ward bench top jointer. The price is cheap and I do not have a jointer of any sort. Is this worth picking up? I know nothing about them except the basic function. The knives are good and it turns freely and it does have the fence and safety flapper over the blades.

Any of you guys used one of these?

Meh, run of the mill Taiwan unit likely. It will get the job done, blades are likely easy to find but hard to setup. 4" is limiting, but if you have a planer shouldnt be a problem.

Looks like it was made in the 60's or so. Might be Taiwan but could be a late run US made. It seems pretty solid but has a little surface rust. Glad to know blades might be available. I will at least take a closer look at it. Thanks for your comment.
