I'm about to buy a welder (Hobart 180) and they have the best price as far as I can see.

Has anybody ever had problems with ToolKing.com?

Anywhere else with better prices on Hobart?

About 3 months ago I bought a Milwaukee 18V driver/drill with a free Jobsite radio from them. Best deal I could find anywhere at the time was with them. Anyway, I called them to make sure the deal was still good and in stock for immidiate shipment. It was, so I placed the order right there over the phone. Long story short- It was a perfect transaction.
I personally would deal with them again with no hesitations.
Caveat- I always call any place first to make sure what I want is in stock for immidiate shipment. I've played the backorder game with some companies and will not play that game again.

When I bought my Miller 175, www.cyberweld.com had the best price. Remember when you look that their price INCLUDES shipping. A lot of other places do not.

It was under $600, and I got it when they were running a deal where you got a free cart thrown in, too. Miller/hobart and Lincoln have had several price increases in the last 4 years...



I highly recommend the Miller over the Hobart. Very similar machine with the added infinite-adjustment on the settings. I can't imagine going back to just 5 or six settings anymore, and I'd definitely pay the extra money for the Miller over again.

I bought a Dewalt 7in buffer/polisher from them as it had the best price AND came with a free Dewalt holdall...

Except it arrived without the bag & when I called to inquire where it was, I was told "oh, that offer expired a month ago, we need to update our website"
So that was my first & last time of buying anything from them....

I was also looking at the Lincoln 175 Plus, it has the infinite settings too.

I have the Miller 175 and a friend has the Lincoln 175 Plus. Either machine will work very well, both are excellent. The Miller has a higher maximum feed rate. I want to use it to do some rough aluminum work in the future, and you need a very high rate for that. I test fed a roll of alum through it, no problem, no birds nests. I just need to get some argon.

I recently purchased a DW716 double bevel compound miter saw, and an XRP battery charger. I got them from them on ebay, vs. their website. Seems to me some of their stuff is even cheaper on ebay than on the site. Cheap price, fast shipping, no complaints here.

I've bought lot's of tools from toolking. In fact I have a new belt sander in the mail right now. Used to have a larger retail presence, now only one storefront - I think in Denver. I have found them to have very good service. They also sell some items on ebay at even more of a discount than in the catalogue.

PS I have the MM 175 with the SGA - great machine!

You know how you get an email from most retailers with the shipping info? Well get this - the other day toolking called my house to let me know they had shipped. Certainly not necessary, but I thought to myself that here's a company that made the switch from many 'bricks and mortar' storefronts, to 'clicks and mortar', and ultimately down to mostly an online prescence. Someone at the top there has still held on to the 'storefront' customer service ideals. I thought the call was a nice touch.....

Tool King is pretty big here in Colo, they still have a couple retail locations around Denver. Honestly I tend to avoid 'em 'cause I have to pay state sales tax if I order from them.

surfing for info on some tools, etc... found this website for the first time. Just bought some stuff from ToolKing & figured I'd chime in -

Bought a Hobart welder & some other stuff for the ranch two weeks ago. The price + shipping was the best deal on the 'net. But what really impressed me was they called to confirm the purchase, as the name & address on the credit card didn't match the shipping address (I had it sent to work).

Heck, I don't remember the last time a real-live clerk looked at the back of my credit card & noticed the "ask for i.d." written in the signature field.

We had a local store open here in the Milwaukee, they closed in less than a year of opening, said they could not compete with local merchants????
