I've got some chronic pain conditions that are undiagnosed but possibly autoimmune in origin. Not looking for suggestions there (I guarantee I've heard them all, and likely tried 'em too!), but I'm curious about tools that are more comfortable for "arthritic" hands. Anything that requires extra force is unpleasant. As a result my tools tend to have squishy grips, like the Knipex comfort handled pliers. I have Wera, which I like. I've got an Ergonic coming to test but it looks like it encourages a firmer grip, which isn't necessarily going to help.
I've been trying to find a good pair of diagonal cutters that are easier to use. I had my eye on the Fantasticos, but someone said the handles
open wide which I thought might make things more difficult. So maybe the twin-force or x-cut? The Cobolt might be overkill, maybe not?
Anyway, I thought this thread might be useful for others who have hand or joint pain problems. Suggestions for tools that are easier to use than most, or might be an entirely new tool altogether. There's such a great group of people here with so much experience and knowledge I can't wait to see what people come up with.
Oh, and I picked up a kneeling pad recently--best $10 I've spent in a long time!
