Thanks for that! Looks like they sell Grip-On's as well!!!

Snap on's regular price for Grip on is less than Gray's sale price for the same Spanish made plier. I'd rather have the tool truck Snap on warranty as well.

Gray has been bought. I've been noticing less and less tools bearing the mark "Canada".

Sad stuff.

I think they're still made in Canada...its just that the new stuff is marked "Gray Tools" as apposed to the older stuff that was "Gray Canada"

That's exactly what Snap on was doing with their ratchets to see if people would notice/care. I believe Gray will move more and more production overseas.

I'll always buy Gray as long as "Canada" is stamped on them. The Screwdrvers are not anymore, so I've moved to Felo. Quality at a reasonable price.

Thanks :) nothing in particular but truth is I go to Canadian tire for most of my stuff cause they have a large display and almost everything is always on special at sometime or another but besides Canadian tire and their brand I wanted to know if better tools can be found locally .

Yes there are tool outlets such as Unitool in the L'acadie area. There is a power tool distributor called L'univers de L'outils on Bombardier in St Leonard. Inolec is another supplier for Milwaukee. Makita on Boul. Couture near Langelier.
But you must understand that if you want a common power tool it is a certainty that it will be less expensive at a big box store such as Home Depot or Reno-Depot and the likes.
I go to the repair centers for the specific brand to buy specialty tools, unfortunately I have to pay the price, if I must have it immediately.

I have bought Mastercraft in the past, they are decent and hard to beat warranty. Bought Knipex, Klein, and Channellock at either Lowes or HD. I haven't bought any ratchets in years as they are all holding pretty well; not sure they still carry them but no one mentioned Husky at HD?

CT Maximum is good stuff. My metric combos are the old Professional and also my SAE are Maximum. Most of my sockets are Maximum. I have never busted any of these. And as already mentioned the price at CT is always right. I do stay away from pretty much all other CT tools in the plier and screwdriver area. However, CT carries Channellock, and there most of your pliers are taken care of. I have various preferences for tools that I use daily, Maximum series are good, mine are.
I am pro electrician and mechanic, and they all hold up. Most of my co-workers also use Maximum, as do the production guys.
