Okay, before the onslaught of criticism about buying tools at Autozone sets in, let me tell you guys what happened.

I was in the market for a set of stud puller sockets--I used the loaners at the store in the past, and had good success with them. I've got a couple of projects in the works that I could use a set for, and, well, I just enjoy buying tools. After much consideration, I ordered a set from the website. They were approx. $10 cheaper than anywhere else.

I may be daft, but it appears that the same Taiwanese manufacturer produces the exact same set for various vendors--most sets I looked at (including Toptul) have the exact same red case and dual-finish sockets (satin bottom, chrome top). Heck, that Rotar Group or whatever (Toptul's parent company) may make them for everyone.

In any case, what showed up in the mail was a USED set of tools!!!! Autozone.com sent the order to some actual store in Tennessee, who in turn boxed up their loaner set and forwarded it to me. Thanks. Talk about a buzzkill. I called and complained (to put it lightly) and they're supposedly sending out a new replacement set, but I'm not holding my breath.

Just thought I would let you guys know--buyer beware!!!!
