Hopefully Cosmic is just busy.

Yes, most likely.

Nice place and tools you got there !!! Do you have more pics of the garage + workbench etc. ?
The new Bahco file handles are really comfortable !
Interesting "Laser" sockets !

Thanks! I don't have any more pictures now, but I'll get some next time I'm there.

@TjoFrasse : Nice garage+nice tools+nice vw:drool: What is the year of your beetle/Kafer ?

Thanks! The beetle is a 1200 from -65 and the buggy is a 1500 from -68. Both have 1600 engines in them though.

TjoFrasse- That breaker bar look like pure beef! Would you say that is true?

It's just 378mm long, so it's no monster. But it feels solid! I don't think I'll have any problems trusting it.

Garanto saw set. For adjusting saw teeth angle. Brilliant for when the blade won't cut straight anymore. I have another different model too and have found it very handy on my bow saw.

:thumbup:
my oldest HZ catalog is from 2005 so i have no clue about the older stuff, the only indicator is the "W. Germany" on the ratchet.

Regarding the black cutter knife blades:
I made a little subjective test with different tools/blades. Snapped off the old blades and made some test cuts with a fresh blade. In my subjective feeling the Lutz TIN coated blades cut the best followed by the black Olfa blade with a very close 3rd place for the Stanley and regular Olfa blade.

Monte- Nice tools in your pics as always. Gedore ratchets and breakers always look **** :). As you probably know, I have that same 612 and almost the same 450. Another clue to the age of that HZ rat is the upper case A. If you were curious, the guys over on thesamba could probably help date it.

I am agreed :beer: It better than my friend Knipex Cobra.A

@MrTools:
Price of NWS?, please.
Nice pliers ;).
Here a prices not included Int. Shipping..
Comb. Pliers 109-69-205 = $24.75

To be honest I never thought about it. I use them on live wires maybe 5-6 times a year. Maybe I have to buy two sets of screwdrivers - one VDE and one conventional - with steel cap for using it with a hammer.

@mrtools : How do you consider your new NWS conbination pliers comparing to your old Merry N°1050 you presented a few weeks ago ?

PS : Are you "mrwrencheq" from Handtoolsgarage.com ?:)

You asked for it:

3 shipments at once:

P1020681.jpg

Stahlwille, Wright and Hazet wrenches, all about the same size - beam thickness. All very comfy, Wright is the beefiest.

P1020700.jpg

P1020696.jpg

Stahl flex sockets, gotta come in handy one day:

Thanks! The beetle is almost complete, but needs some fixing still...

Have no idea of COO, no markings. Would guess Taiwan though, just from my impression of it.

TjoFrasse Nice and bright garage

Thanks! We'll see for how much longer it stays this clean...

@TjoFrasse

Nice PICS :drool::drool:

Thanks, I'll try to get more pics/video up soon!

Great NWS! I more and more get a feeling that I soon will be spending too much €€€ on changing my plier setup from Knipex to NWS. Those look awesome!

You asked for it:

3 shipments at once:

:drool: Thanks for the pics, that's some NICE tools!

Those Stahlwille flex sockets I think were the best!

few more tools i acquired, these were really cheap

Unior VDE screwdriver, which was 1.20 off of ebay :bounce:
IMG_0510.jpg

feels like it should cost a fair bit more really, ok its no Wera, but its no cheaply made made pos either, seems nice enough to use (not used it in anger yet)

IMG_0511.jpg

IMG_0512.jpg

also some Belzer sockets, i bought then not knowing the sizes, were really cheap tho :p

not sure the age of them, seem a little crude in detailing, the size stamp on one overlaps the Belzer logo for example there all NOS, just some surface rust on them as they probably date from the 70's?

There old British sizes so its unlikely ill ever need them lol, 3BA 2x 1BA and another one i forget the size of (its imperial 5/16th or something) sothere probably of little use to me as 99% of stuff i work on is metric so if anyone wants them give me a shout :)

That's it for today sadly, have a few things in the post tho (well kinda, as there rather heavy, so i assume courier) ill post them on here soon as they arrive :D

Started my new job today too, and already have a few things on my shopping list that I'm likely to need :p , including a Wera bit ratchet (or similar, any recommendations?) Volvo's have lots of fasteners in cramped positions, looks like i may need a bigger box soon :bounce:

Congratulation!!!!!!!:beer:
awesome tools, please report the Vessel wire stripper performance, I am sure all members waiting your opinions?

Not used the a lot yet, but so far they seem to cut/strip nicely, and ther nice and compact, so can use them in small areas, no 'slop' in the joints either, though the catch to hold them shut is a bit fiddly to release, needs two hands, maybe it will slacken off with use tho :) need to get the matching red pair now (different sizes of wire gauge)

oh and my catalogs from Wera, and Dictum http://www.mehr-als-werkzeug.de/pag...onid=8B997A6AB6B1E73DFF6DA4C28DBFB120?lang=en arrived.. bad move (yeah right :p ), especially the Dictum one, so much nice stuff i 'need' in there lol

Plenty of nice tool pics here as always, thanks guys! :thumbup:

More pics:
Ebay haul from Germany, used pipe wrenches, and my 3/8 facom rat for size reference

These will be used as "last resort" - and not for plumbing. As such they will see abuse and their jaws will be chewing on harder surfaces. For such use I find cheaper pipe wrenches -more or less -useless. Shipping manifest said 11.5kg for both.

I have yet to see their true colors in action, but I hope you are right. I am still digesting paying DHL shipping for used pipe wrenches ... :headscrat
However, the shipping cost was very resonable and makes me wonder about some deals other ebay sellers are offering on items far smaller and lighter than these. (shipping for 10kg was €35 from Germany to Iceland via DHL)
