I'm pretty sure i can get it in very good price. It is the first time I see such a design though. Can it be used as any adjustable c-spanner or it is a special tool?

Got back yesterday. And on my table was the package from ash. The felo ergonic 3pc torx set. From first impression. The drivers feel very well made, and the grip was very grippy. But like their hard handle, they are a larger handle then my wiha soft handle. Side by side the felo is a large driver.

Thanks ash for the torx set, will be doing some real comparison with the t15 on Monday at work.

Thinking about a set of these Draper pound-throughs. Are they rebranded "Ko-ken" or just look-alike handles?

There are all kind of toolbox's but for last 10-years I have used this one.

No matter what! there are no better toolbox for daily use, it is simple, got only one storage, you know where your tools are, is very cheap and most durable there are. You can even make it waterproof, just use you imagination...
It is made in Germany, by Henkel...

btw, it is on, what I use these tools for, one lacquer away from finished, total of five coats with waterbased lacquer.
I make 35 to 45 squermeters of ready to walk in, in same day floors, sanded to clean wood, with no dust and no smel from lacquer. Basic floor hold good for 10 to 20 years and lacquer got really good UV-protection and what I have seen my old floors, it does not even get yellow with age.
Lacquer is Finnish made by Kiilto Oy.

Theses are the felo torx drivers that Ash sent me. I put it up against a wiha T20 as you can see it is a much larger driver. The handle is be suited for larger hand users. I do not like that felo did not include the size on the end of the driver like wiha. Over thime the marking on the grip will wear of, as it is on my wiha. I always know what size it it by looking at the end of the driver.

For some reason, I feel the soft cushion of the felo will rip over time vs the harder cushion of the wiha. As you can push in the cushion of the felo like gel pad. Only time will tell.

Just picked up this top box from an ebay purchase. The stack is now nearly as tall as I am (the grey cabinet beside it is around 2m tall for comparison), so realistically I think it may have to go live on the workbench at the other side of the garage. Alternately I could remove the casters from the base cabinet to gain a few inches:

True, although they sell some pricier stuff these days (Knipex, Elora etc). Are those drivers all made by Lancer? Any difference in quality?
i dunno, i guess the "Bahr" drivers yes, dunno about the Koken + Draper, maybe they have a license or the other companies to make that handle ? There are several chinese/taiwanese companies who uses that handle style. There was a discussion about them a while ago in this thread. Never thought about these drivers though since they charge "made in Germany" prices so....

the most exotic toolbox of this forum

took a gamble and ordered the compac (instead of the Hein werner)
very nice ! Where did you buy it ?

Maybe Artu? They have "ice hardened" blades, and made in Solingen.

I remember reading that Ko-ken was the first to use that design, but who knows. Ko-ken has been offering that style of handle for several years though, if that's any indication. The double-ended shanks on mine (interchangeble type) are stamped "Made in Japan", with a date code as well. I'm not sure about the standard screwdrivers though.

Here was the original discussion, waaaaaaaaaaay back on page 21: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28952&highlight=koken+italy&page=21

I notice the handle in the background also says "Made in Japan". All of the images I can find of the standard and pound-through Ko-ken drivers just say "Japan" (no "Made in...") on the handle, so perhpas those ones aren't actually made in Japan.

I've found a set of the Drapers for £11 so it might be worth a shot just to see if they're reasonable for the money.

Perhaps Ko-ken decided it was best to omit "Made in" delibarately.
Either way, I've found the handle provides a lot of grip. Not easy to clean them, being all nipply and all. :D

Random photo with some German, Taiwanese, and Japanese stuff mingling with eachother, peacefully. :D

Thanks for the link! you are the best tools consultant

check out the shops that monte has written but I think most wont ship overseas since the german speaking and european market is already so big. Maybe you can send GJ member Jens a message if he can also sell you some gedore stuff. (if I remember correctly he is more a hazet dealer but just ask him).
I'm agree with you..you right they won't ship oversea:)
thanks for your advice:thumbup:
btw: nice Stahlwille ratchet:drool:

One more photo for the gedore adorers.
Awesome shot lok!!!!
thanks a lot for the Gedore pics

...and Metabo drill for 40Eur :) looks like new, works like new, simply - awesome machine!

Great comparison pics, thanks!
..and now, I know the Felo handle is too big for me :bounce:

With these, i finally finish my small collection.
Awesome driver! congratulation very nice collection ..the handle looks a little bit small than Felo and it comes with great shape like Felo, these one look more suitable for my small hand :bounce:
tell me what your personal opinion about this Wurth drivers?
btw : I know monte have a set of this Wurth driver, and I guess he's really like them :bounce:

I'm 6'4" and it's not easy (I can just see in on my tiptoes), which is why it will probably go live on the workbench at the other side of the garage. No rush though -between these drawers and a bunch of pegboard on the other wall, I don't (yet) have enough tools to fill it all, so I can leave the top empty for now (or just store junk in there).

I did wonder about adding a mirror on the inside of the lid as well, but that will probably never happen :)

EDIT: Just measured and if I remove the casters and sit the base cabinet on a 1.5" base, it will drop the top lip of the open upper compartment to my chin-height, so just about perfect.
