I found this yesterday.
p1010411tn.jpg

It is made from "40X" steel (near 5140H).
Torque is 380 Nm (guarantee).
Price is 37,66$.

That is all i know.

Seems like a good price. Now what will it take to get it to the USA? :D

depends on how many teeth do you really need...maybe 60 or 72 are enough.....or 80..... oh wait there is a 88 tooth ratchet......and look now a 100 tooth ....and tomorrow a 360 tooth ratchet :D ;)

I like the green and red Bosch tools better than the tired bluish teal and red combo, although those hedge trimmers look strange, not really green or bluish teal in the pic.

the Bosch garden tools have a different color like "seafoam green" or something like that....:

When you say height, do you mean the thickness of the head (measured from the back to the end of the drive)? If so, wow that's way thicker than the Stahlwille and even the Gedore.
yes, exactly

My tool for steaming and ironing things... :D
nice ! :pimpflash

There's not nearly enough Britool on here from back in the day when it was a British owned, British made brand and equal to the best of the best from anywhere in the world.

IMAG1321_zps3391f1ab.jpg

Under Facom, Britool discontinued the RJ series combo spanners in the early 90's so that makes this unused 1/2" BSW combination spanner that's just landed on my desk courtesy of Ebay at least 20 years old. I've already got two more of these (and at least one of just about every spanner Britool made from the 60's through to when they were taken over by Facom) but I couldn't pass up a new one

Gedore No.6 open ended set

067.jpg

066.jpg

Hazet 190 tool box, not sure where this is made but the quality is excellent. Possibly too good as the joints are so tight it doesn't close by lifting the handle. I'm sure it will loosen up over time.

069.jpg

068.jpg

Filled it with my most commonly used tools including Hazet offset wrenches, Bahco combination wrenches, the new Gedore open ended wrenches, Bahco socket set, Facom hammers, Wiha and Felo screwdrivers, Bahco adjustable, Wiha hex keys.
Don't want to add much more as my weedy little arms won't be able to carry it :D

wow very nice ! is it made by Unior ?

An interesting question, but unfortunately I do not know the answer. Unior has about 80% of its own production. Selected items to be purchased, but most of the other manufacturers of hand tools, which unior produces tools for them. Minimal imports from Asia, usually just components of tools (eg, protective equipment, guides for tool drawer carts, locks and similar matters that are not Unior specialty).

I can tell you that that saw is no way near as noisy as a gas power on. And for an average the 36v Li Battery has allot of leg.

That Gedore box is way better quality than the Hazet/Stahlwille one, but is VERY expensive in the USA.

If you're outside the USA, can I ask how much it cost you?

I don`t know about Hazet and Stahlwille, but you are absolutely right about the quality of the Gedore toolbox: works like a charm from day 1, never had to oil the joints, much to my surprise after trying a KS Tools one.
I live in Europe and the selling price is ~125 euros = ~$165.

@north: Thank you!

I picked up some used old world iron last week. 1st up is this Gedore 4507 30-150 Nm torque wrench. I haven't tested it out yet but it seems like it's been looked after. Anyone know the vintage?

:

This Belzer pin spanner is a nice one, I think I'm going to get some use out of it.

The Dormer (Sheffield England) easy outs I had to buy just for the novelty of the oak box with the pivot pin in the corner.

These metric 1/2 drive sockets are a mystery. They are stamped "Made in Germany" and "Chrom-Vanadium" but there is no maker's name. The #1 numeral is quite distinctive with it's extra long cap and you can see fine lines horizontally along the surface of the finish (last photo). Anyone recognize these sockets?

Wow. In the US it's more like $260.

These sockets resemble an old 21mm "Schmole" I found recently. The shape of mine is a bit different, as it has a smoother transition from the drive end to the socket end, but the font (21, "Chrom-Vanadium" and Made in Germany) and the unique finish are the same.

The only picture I could find of one of these sockets is in post 4640 of this thread. However, this particular socket seems to lack the unique finish.

i only wondered because the vice seems to be cast metal and Unior mostly seems to make forged parts.....?

I don't need this, but damn I want it!
unfortunately not available in the US....

the higher price is because it´s the only one made here i think...

2oolhound, I managed to grab a picture for you. It's in pretty sad shape.

A closer look reveals that the name is in fact "Schmöle", the "o" being surrounded by apostrophes to simulate an umlaut.

Thanks turmlos, that schmole has the lines across and the same font for sure but like you pointed out the steps where it's diameter changes is sharp and not round like my set. It's close enough for now but I'm not for sure on it yet. Thank you for the info and photo, much appreciated.

Thanks Monte, I was afraid the torque wrench may have been even older. The little windows that display the printed guage are still nice and clear on it. I like how you pull the end of the handle out and turn it to set torque, then push it in to lock the setting.

@2oolhound, they look remarkably like Rahsol sockets, which was a lower cost brand owned by Gedore but has since been shut down and replaced by Carolus.

There are still a lot around in the UK, and the Gedore distributor that the UK sells a lot of old stock on ebay still has some listed.

Monte, can you tell me who produce this Parkside washer for Lidl?
http://www.lidl.de/de/Reinigungsgeraete/PARKSIDE-Hochdruckreiniger-PHD-150-B2

sorry i don´t know without further info... (country of origin)... could be somewhere from china but also Italy since it seems sometimes they´re made by a italian company like Lavor or Annovi Reverbi...
maybe you can find it here: :)
http://www.alibaba.com/products/F0/...------------1157-6372,296-213,1218-124/3.html

China or Hungary. The home owner/DIY grade pressure washers are usually from China.

Thanks, Monte :)

found some reviews of this Parkside washer:
http://www.etest-wohnen.de/test_detail-22216-2370-lidl_parkside_hochdruckreiniger_phd_150_a1.html
and many say the gun cracked and water is coming out of the gun on the side after 5-6 uses.....
and there was a safety recall for Parkside/Karcher adaptors which shouldn´t be used anymore..... http://www.cleankids.de/2012/03/16/...-adapter-fur-parkside-hochdruckreiniger/21344

ps: the "manufacturer"/importer seems to be http://grizzly.biz/

so personally i wouldn´t buy a Parkside washer......
maybe a Kärcher....
