:)

Well, it´s in the 1930´s catalog (the first scan, "Blatt 3") and also show up in the 1933´s one. After that (1938) the pipe wrench isn´t longer listed.

I did´t found an older catalog yet, but still searching...

No, the toolboard and the other (attached) are gone. I try to get these tools back together some day. Found some nice ones already.

misc. Vessel screwdrivers for JIS screws from Levelchrome and a couple from Engineer, thanks to Monte for forwarding the package:
Awesome Japanese made tools and thank for the pics
both Engineer screwdriver is reversible blade type?

Actually no, I use pretty much everything. I haven't pay for all of them though. The black witte and the Peugeot is gift from my dealer.
a gift !! that a good dealer

hello mrtools, thank you for your warm welcoming note and for all your instructive and interesting posts(by the way, do you still maintain your electrical blog?)!
 :)

could you check what that orage-ish 'swiss made" screwdriver is and if there's a Hazet 7mm hex t-handled driver in there(if such a thing existed, of course!)? thnaks! :D
That is PB Swiss slotted tips screwdriver, no 7mm Hazet hex t-handled just 8mm left

speaking of old Hazet tools, i just got something a bit older, kinda like an "old old tools from the Old World-ish" kind of tool:
no model number and french markings: "imported from Germany"!

please click this PDF and look at page 16 + 17 since they have 8 different versions :)
The plastic version is the cheapest for about € 3.- , the dimensions are L:250mm, W:48mm, H:68mm
thank for the link... very nice wood working tools;)

:drool::pimpflash:eyecrazy::pimpflash:drool:
sweeeeet !!!! I love these old HZ tools with the black handles !!!:thumbup:
Yap! we all love Hazet tools :D I plan to get a couples of this old black handle version for my collection

German reunification was on the 10/3/1990 so the tools are made before october 3rd. 1990 (or maybe on that day or even days later....?)
on the other hand....there is a car parts store which sells wheel chocks, they are brand new i swear...and they still say " Made in W. Germany" .... sometimes you also see products with a "Made in [] Germany" (Where thew "W" simply was ground away from the mold and you see a rectangular "box" instead of the "W")
thanks for the answers :) I know I asked the right man:rocker:

some tools in action:
Awesome jobs with a nice tools :)

Give me the address of that shop, I'll be on the next flight to Malaysia:pimpflash I love the old black handles and trinamic screwdrivers
are you serious!!
actually I have no idea where is the shop, my brother just send me the pics:D and I know he can help me to buy something and ship it to me..
for your information he live 800km from my home ;)

Seriously, the W. Germany mark was phased out gradually as dies got replaced. They first started the process in 1990. But the change was not made overnight. I have a 1/2 sliding T in a 900 socket set which I bought new in 2007 which is still marked "Made in W.Germany"
If it is marked "Made in Germany", you can be sure that it was made some time after 1990, But if it is marked "Made in W.Germany", you really can't be sure. But a good guess would be 90's or earlier.:dunno:
thank for the answer, you right I got the same 1/2" sliding T which I bought 2 years ago they still mark W. Germany.

some electric installation material for the workshop
Great tools in action shot!!!

oups! forgot the full lateral ****** shot of Grandma Hazet:
in all her german-made glory!
Awesome exotic tools, where you get it?

yes, both, the small one has adjustable length blades and is +00/0/1(slotted on the other sides), big one +2/slotted, bought it for the handle and using it with some shorter blades i'll order from Levelchrome next month... ;)

too bad i've not received the Top RH-4N open ratchet, you would probably have liked it: same heavy-duty open mechanism as their ratcheting construction wrenches but with a half inch square instead of a couple fixed sockets...

thank you, got enough slotted screwdrivers for now methinks... :D
very nice of you to have asked your brother! :rocker:

Grandma Hazet comes from a classified site, could not resist the sight of this old wrench and price was right too(say, **** chinese-made wrench kind of price, postage included ), i used her to grab a seized brass locknut and she did well despite her old age! :D

new Bahco side cutters coming in may 2013:

Hi Monte, any idea about COO? Since nearly all facilities in Sweden are closed, their options seems to be own (SNA) factories in France, Spain, Argentina or Russia - or import from China...:headscrat

So I just returned my 3 Bahco chinese made pliers to amazon. (...)

Click on subject above to see the sad pictures....

I think their pliers are still made in France? Or??

Screwdrivers are made by Irazola in Spain...at least the new Tekno line....

Decaf, you´re right about the screwdrivers. Adjustable wrenches made in Spain, files made in Portugal. Some pliers are made in France, and some pipe wrenches (who were Bahcos first patent) are now made in Argentina. Some saws made in Sweden, some finished in Russia. I fear that for every "new" line they introduce, an old (european made) line will disappear. Quite simply, SNA Europe doesn´t give a nickel for Bahcos swedish heritage.

Had a bit of an epic find last night when I went to collect an old Wolf bench grinder i bought on ebay, , when I turned up at the at the sellers house it got a whole more interesting than that,

Turns out he is is clearing out a whole load of power tools (and more) that belonged his deceased fathers), and they are all older tools mainly European made (and some japan and USA ones) I paid for the grinder and I'm taking a load of the other ones as a job lot I'm going back to pay and collect them later this week (no I'm not saying where it is :p)

All sorts of stuff Including Uk made Wolf, Japanese Hitachi, German Bosch and AEG, and Italian made Elu  I will post picks as and when i get them home, but for now here is a pic of the grinder and some (admittedly poor) teaser pics of some of the stuff will be picking up.

oh and i expect a you **** for this :p

Wow they make labels in England.

At this rate we will pay off the budget deficit in like only 500 years.

not only labels but complete shoes..... They actually make them in Flimby/England...Here´s the proof:

<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Z2w5NqvgRy8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

They do have a factory in Vietnam and USA too.

http://www.newbalance.co.uk/UK-Manufacturing/about_domestic_uk_manufacturing,en_GB,pg.html

do those new balance shoes have steel tips? steel soles?

no steel at all. Only leather, plastic and synthetic fibres :)

Not all Facom ratchets made in Italy?

http://www.facom.com/fr-en/a-167-Ratchets.html

Which one you call round-heads?

these are italian nowadays:
http://www.ultimategarage.com/Facom/facomoldnew161-550.jpg

these are taiwanese:

http://www.ahverlag.de/popup/facom/3148519045369.jpg

iirc the 3/4 ratchets were taiwanese too.
