Does anyone know where these Hazet pliers are made? I'm wondering because it doesn't specify "Made in Germany" in the catalog.

Maybe Ambika makes the water pump pliers for Hazet?

It might be the closest available. Do you think you could find the paint in Greece?

Difficult! There is a Evinrude dealer here in Greece, but if i have to ask a dealer it´s have more sense to ask Gedore dealer! GJ member Lok maybe can help... He´s The Gedore Guy of GJ!

Gedore TMU 1/2 socket set(speed brace is missing ). I bought it from ebay.de. I want to restore the metal case and i wonder if any of you guys happen to know what color code is this "Gedore blue"? :dunno:

I don't know how old that set is, but I assume that it's from the seventies or earlier.
Have you considered keeping it original and just polishing/compounding the finish which you have? You would be surprised how nice it looks after compounding. It doesn't look so far gone that you need to repaint it to me. The inside of the case looks just fine.
The modern Gedore blue color is not the same as this old set. I think you should keep it original. IMO
As for the speeder brace, I'm sure that you'll be able to find one around which will match your set.

Please explain "compounding" further because i can´t find what it means... :dunno:

Don´t bother, i find some you tube videos about compounding. I will check them later. Thanks for your answer, i did not expect to be so old this set. I think I´m changing plans about it. :3gears:

I agree with Alfajuj. keep it original. It's just fine!

It's not difficult to find a speeder with the same handle. I think the handles design of new speed braces is still the same.

Also the sockets seems to be the same with new ones. Unless the seller replace them with new sockets.

Does anyone know where these Hazet pliers are made? I'm wondering because it doesn't specify "Made in Germany" in the catalog.

It looks like this

But if ti hasn't the Germany is probably the same with this one.

The Carolus is very nice made and descent for that price. I don't know how much the Hazet cost or if they are the same.
Since it has the hazet logo, it can't be so bud. But if it hasn't the Germany, it can't be that good. :)

I bought the carolus for my father, I will tell you how good it is.

It's ideal... except from the price (20€+10€ shipping). Here in Greece i can find it 18 € new, from Gedore dealer! :D
that sounds better :D

Made in China.

Jens to the rescue! Thanks, I was just about to email you and ask.
That does change things for me, I think. I'll spend the extra for the 760-N2 or whatever the German ones are.
