I have been looking at Deutsch plugs for awhile, and plan to shift to these for next loom builds.
I thought the Deutsch plugs were machined pins. Ive only seen DMC crimpers used.

Deutch also have their own green version.

Have been curious which knipex plier would do the same.

My trusted penlight is a Suprabeam. I posted it here before: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3387028&postcount=16946

No complaints with it. I really favour it's ability to change the focus of the beam. I've seen others that have that feature, but often found that they produce unwanted rings and the light is cast unevenly. With the Suprabeam the light is evenly cast, with no rings, whether it's full flood, beam focus or anywhere in between. For a penlight class, I haven't come across another that meets the versatility and light output of this. ....although, I'll admit I'm not a flashlight enthusiast like some are....so, take that into consideration. I'm really happy with mine though, and every co-worker who saw/used mine were really impressed with its performance.
Thanks for this short review ! Sounds good ! What annoys me are dark spots or dark rings but it seems Supralight knows what they do :) Since more and more flash lights have LED lights i think they have gotten better. Now we need some Li-Ion AA and AAA cells and everything will be good :)

Those Swedish ones look good.

I use the solder type terminals, but similar Knipex, just different dies.

I bought Knipex PreciForce® Crimping Pliers 97 52 35, 18 months ago, and these have been fine. I have been using a pair of Utilux R125-U for the last 30 years or more. The ratchet on the Knipex is a good feature.

The other very worthwhile tool is an insulation stripper, that gives consistent lengths of strip; makes for much neater job. e.g Knipex 12 40 200

Sears Hardware carries a Schroder ratcheting screwdriver called the Yankee, wish they carried those screwdrivers, those are sweet !

I found the screwdrivers in the Obi DIY market in Fulda, I would not believe it :scared:........... normally at Obi are only LUX branded tools.

There are also sets with torx, slot and electric (vde)

Is this a NOS item?

I seem to recall seeing something similar at the store that sells the Connex brand (I forgot what the stores name is, and no, not OBI).
When I saw them, I wasn't really inspired the handle design and ergonomics, as well as the finish on the handle. ....felt sorta cheapy.....but that's subjective matter.

a new one in that torque range cost about 170 euro.

maybe they had others ? Possible. In our stores they don´t have the Schröder screwdrivers for example. Some OBI stores sell LUX branded tools others have "Connex" tools ....? Maybe different franchise owners or so ..?

we've got a set of the Rennsteig screw extractors at the shop I tried to use them to pull out a snapped exhaust bolt and all it did was ream out the hole I drilled I don't know if I used them wrong or what. but I wasn't over impressed but they make one hell of a reamer

These sure look good.
I have a 1/2" 10mm and a 1/2" 32mm socket from them.
They are well made. In my opinion Unior is as good as Gedore.

Keep in mind that todays maintenance free pear head ratchets RL.161, JL.161 and SL.161 are made in Taiwan and are only inspected in France.
I asked a seller and he told me.

I've a few "old world" brands; mainly Facom, with a couple Würth bits.

Nifty little Facom puller - had to modify this by cutting off the sliding T-handle, in order to get the drivers side wiper off Audi A4's

Three of the four Facom screwdrivers I had - stubby flat tip, long Phillips #1, extra long Phillips #2 (the one I lost was the stubby Phillips #2)

This is a great little set; Facom handle with double ended 1/4" shanks. 6x Torx (10,15,20,25,30,40), tamper Torx (20,25), 4x Phillips (0,1,2,3) and 4x flat ends, plus a 1/4 bit holder (I've a second bit holder shank that I use in my drill). Great for getting reluctant screws out, as I can put real pressure on the handle, and turn the shank with a 1/4 ratcheting spanner.

Look what I find today for 150 swe crowns(like 15 euro) in the hardware store! Original price 695 swe cr:! NOS kamasa tools swivel head ratchet set(10,12,13mm) with sockets attached permanently to them! Made in Japan! Anyone know what year these things are made? Very thin sockets and short, these I going to test in tight spots:)

Monte, i will take some more pics tomorrow and post them. I work for Siemens in South Africa and visit Germany once or twice every year, during July or August. This year i will spend my spare time visiting some toolshops. I need to get some of the "nice" stuff like the NWS pliers.

My recent purchase was a set of the Gedore 7R ratchet wrenches, they are imported to our country, and therefore quite expensive. I still short a few sizes to complete the set. I normally travel to Erlangen and Munich, so if you know of some Toolshops i can visist in those areas, i will greatly appreciate if you can advise some names.
