The ratchets are still made in Germany! New Series 17 Ratchet wrenches are made by kabo in Taiwan. Their new ratcheting screwdriver are also overseas!
I have one of these new model ratchets. Although the Script is no longer on the handle, the ratchet head itself says Stahlwille, model number and Made In Germany.

ugh, so you're going to get them in April. Which means we get them in april 2017 or so lol. I guess I could hunt one down and ship it over but the exchange rate and shipping wouldn't be too favorable. I'll have to live with the brushed version until then. Honestly I won't use it alot, I just kinda wanted the latest version.
;)patience :D maybe they will be available end of 2015 ? So you could buy the jigsaw, vacuum and flash light in the meantime ;)
some new Schröder
nice collection !
Where did you get those pliers, monte? :p
i got it here:
http://www.eurowerkzeugmarkt.de/shop_liste.html?kat=12&name=NWS+-+Zangen&

Many thanks

These are the only non-USA tool I have and could think of off hand, the rest are tossed in a junk box somewhere, they are the worlds crappiest pliers. They say "Sears Japan" on them. There junk, they can't cut nothing and they have been left out in the rain about 10 times so there pretty rusty but they get the job done.

Sears Japan tools were often made by KTC (Kyoto Tool Company).... Ktc makes incredibly high quality tools and has done so for years. I'm guessing those pliers are made by Keiba, a premium Japanese plier company.

Needed a cheap hand saw to dismember the Christmas tree and it seemed a Spear and Jackson item, made in Sheffield, would do the trick at B&Q. But when I checked the saw it had no COO, so I got this Danish-made Irwin instead!

My Teng long nose pliers have long needed replacement (broken tip and play in the joint) so I bought the 205mm NWS pliers and like them very much. :D

I use the Spear and Jackson saws at work pretty much every day, they are good saws, we stopped using Jack saws when the teeth changed to the triple ground profile, the fact that all the builders merchants now stock multiple makes of saws when once you could only get Jack saws tells me that lots of builders have changed.

Got this today! SO far I like it! It has 4 speeds, metal chuck, lots of power and great ergonomics! Excuse the crappy cell phone pics.

Victorinox Pionier Alox

I picked up a Victorinox Alox in the fall. Bought it on a whim while at the gun show. It's become my favorite pocket knife. Fits the hand perfectly and I like the texture.

Victorinox makes great pocket tools, I like to carry huntsman with me. Only drawback is that those are so portable and small that they are too easy to lose.

Just watched a documentary on the swiss army knife manufacturer.. huge amount of individual skill involved and all made in house in Switzerland. Impressive.

Glanced a Hazet 9012m on auto parts store today while waiting. Incredibly small impact wrench, and impressive figures compared to size.

Luckily there was no price showing so I can keep dreaming about it. :D
