For a $350,000 vehicle, all you get is one measly little wrench ;)

and it ain't even a Hazet or Stahlwille .... it's the usual Heyco ...at least it's not from their Heytec line :lol_hitti

Nice! But it should be a king ****!

That is pretty neat! Makes me wonder what other car manufacturer marked tools can be found! A quick google search turned up this Mercedes/AMG set:
[/IMG]

According to the thread; made by Snap On but issued only in the old world (Japan). ;)

Awesome! The only snap on tools that I actually want!

The fein vacuums are also made outside Germany. I think I read the current ones are made in Hungary. The older ones were made in Italy.
yeah sorry i forgot the vacs ! The current ones are made in romania by Karcher it seems. The stationary belt sanders (etc.) are made in Denmark and the entry level Fein magnetic core drills are made in the USA by Jancy.

Well Monte I am looking at the ASCM 18 C and ASCM 18 QXC, which one would you prefer?

Also my industrial Dealer says he can order the C for $215 USD and the QXC for $240 USD (both as complete kits). Is that a good deal?
That´s a pretty good deal !!! In Germany they charge 439.-€ for the 18C and 462.-€ for the 18QXC !!!
Look: https://www.fein.de/de_de/schrauben/akku-bohrschrauber/
So thats a really really good deal !! (if its a complete kit) For these prices i wouldn´t hesitate to buy one :) I own the 18 QX. I bought the QX version because without chuck its more compact and lighter and there might be a angle adaptor available in the future. Maybe even other accessoires like a tap bit collet/chuck (if Fein listens to the forum members in a german tool forum:))

The never ending extent to monte's tool knowledge is incredible.

My first foray into witte finally, got some screwdrivers coming along with the new fein multi tool in systainer.

sounds good :thumbup::pimpflash:beer::rocker:
I ordered the 4.0 AH version in case they will offer an angle grinder so i have more runtime and power. The 4.0Ah version of the ASCM also has 5 NM more torque. But i think for drilling/driving and DIY use the 2AH version might be sufficient. At least If you are not drilling into steel all day long...In most cases i use my 10,8 volt drill anyway so the 4 amp batteries seem to last forever...(ok i also use my corded drill often since i prefer the pistol grip...) :) Or maybe get the 2AH version - for drilling/driving or other tools like the MultiMaster (for lighter weight) - and later 4AH batteries in case they will offer an angle grinder, for more runtime ?

Now PB Swiss is the last mainstream screwdriver manufacturer in europe that don't make slim blades.

pozidriv,

Nice haul on the sockets and the oil can!

The Gedore and Stahlwille sockets have modern, recognizable stamping and knurling near the drive end.

However, the Snap-on and Britool have unrecognizable stamping with old font and weak knurling near the drive end.

Does anyone here can approximately date the Snap-on and/or the Britool sockets?

Thanks.

Some Ridgid tools are made outside the USA now, but the "Heavy Duty" pipe wrenches, chain wrenches, strap wrenches, etc., should all still be made in the USA.

Karwei: https://www.karwei.nl/zoeken?text=skandia

webshop: http://www.ikklus.nl/skandia/?search/search/cPath/2091_1598_1775_4587/process/boxSearch

There used to be much more stores but apparently they switched to other brands.:headscrat
Actually Skandia is pretty cheap over here. It's still a hobby/budget brand.

An oldy but a goody ...

Measurements are getting hard to read ... but its still a good square, for in the welding toolbox.

Nooitgedagt was a dutch factory that was known for it's iceskates but mainly it produced woodwork products (chisels) and wooden toys.

There's still a museum: http://nooitgedagt-ijlst.nl/

Nice:thumbup:

Nooitgedagt was a Dutch company. The company was most known for making ice skates. Ice skates was just a side production. It's main production was (woodworkers) tools. For a few years it also made wooden toys.

In the early nineties it was sold to the British company 'Record'. In 1998 Record was sold to American Tool Companies. American Tool Companies was later taken over by Newell Rubbermaid which deciced some years later to close the Nooitgedagt factory.

All 3 stahlwille factories are in Germany. They are definitely made in Germany

Pretty sure the only tool stahlwille rebrand that isn't made in Germany are Irega adjustables... Monte???

I think they are made in Taiwan. Possibly by Kabo?

I see you've got a couple of different ratcheting screwdrivers in there. Which one's your favorite?

Like Berol said, Kabo, in Taiwan, is definitely involved.

There are more items than the Irega adjustable that isn't made by them. :)
