Dip the carbon blade in a glas of vinegar for half a day. It will develop a grey blackish patina. After rinsing treat with olive oil.

They stop Rusting almost completely after that.

Imho.... the best waterpump pliers with quick adjustment.

1. Place NWS Quattro Grip...the sturdiest, fewest play between the jaws, sharpest teeth
2. Place Knipex Cobra – very good haptic of the handles, very fine adjustment
3. Place Garant = VBW FastGrip – very good haptic of the handles
4. Place NWS Maxi MX2 - Solid overall quality

Got myself a Facom 1/2 NS.260A impact driver. Comes with 10 piece set in a very robust case.

I have other Facom tools, they are superb quality and this tool is no different

My last tool on 2016

Olfa NOL-1 Made in Japan handle resistant to oil, benzine, acetone, thinner paint.
Excelent quality, the blade have no play, the ratchet-lock mechanism are very smooth.
I must admit that the quality and machining of some japanese tools are the best in the world,Olfa is one of them.

Happy New Year to All

What is the brand? I need a repair kit for recovery, but it is not possible to read the name. Help me identify this brand by the logo. I would be grateful for any information.

Does anyone know if spares are available to buy seperately for the Gedore 7UR ratcheting spanners?

I know that the ratchet end can be opened for cleaning/re-greasing, but I'd like to know if replacement parts can be purchased. Trying to decide between Carolus and Gedore! Any input welcome.

German made GEDORE the best to go for, also GEDORE tools are usually lifetime warranty

Figured I'd post a couple quick pics from work. We're gathering tools to make a new box. I really like the grips on those new screwdrivers, and so far the ratchets seem pretty good. The Stahlwille stuff seems really nice. It's what's in most of the toolboxes. Didn't realize the Hazet and Stahlwille wrenches weren't framed right...I can get some better pics if anyone is interested.

Very nice tools! Please post pictures of different tools and your experience from working with them. For example, are they ergonomic, how strong they are and if can they take some. Do they wear well or fast?

Did I say these tools look great?[emoji3] [emoji106]

There are no spare parts listed in their catalogue. But I´m almost sure that Gedore will help you out if a wrench should fail...

Hey Monte, I shot off a couple packs of those the other night too!

Any experience with the Wiha screwdrivers quality from Hornbach? They seem different from the ones at the official website?

This seems to be the current website:
http://www.forges-de-molsheim.fr/
In the past they belonged to Rothenberger and Peugeot. Now they are independent it seems. The former Peugeot-Muller website showed a full line of building tools, nowadays it seems Peugeot sells imported power tools and Muller still makes some building tools like chisels and pry bars etc.

Advice needed! Sorry if this has already been covered, I am looking for opinions on ratcheting end wrench sets. Any experience between these two regarding how fine the teeth are? I like the case that the Gedore comes with, so I am leaning that way, only down side is that they are not reversible...

opinions on ratcheting end wrench sets/?

Euro companies have OEM label ratcheting wrenches, but only because the market beat them to it by 15-20 years. The tools are really a taiwan specialty, not a euro one.

The guts of stahlwille and hazet are Taiwan, and they have mixed quality reviews on Amazon.de as being below standard for those brands in overall quality. This is why they are so cheap, apparently.

The guts of Gedore are german engineered and produced, but being a copycat design they are a generation behind. This means they have poor external measurements and tend not to fit. Their 10mm is something like 4-5mm wider than best of class (23 vs 18mm if memory is correct). Keep in mind a good socket is 14mm and a good combo wrench is like 15mm by comparison.

In reality, I would probably recommend other brands as well like DeWalt/HiFive or maybe Kind Tony (seem to be OEM for Facom) if you want to go down that rabbit hole. I would look at Facom or USAG if you want a more presitge label tool.

If you have deep/bottomless pockets, then Snap On (especially if you don't have their combos already), Matco and Armstrong for the box/ratcheting box mid-lengths.

Also would pose the philosophical question: do you need another combo wrench? or is ratcheting Box/Box a better idea?

OK, sorry for the heresy
