Yes the 13 open box is a little bit short compared to competitors. But i am still thinking about it :dunno:

The new 80 teeth 435QRN ratchet is very expensive, 52 usd is no where near its price.

I would say no. The ratchet is not the new fine tooth model and the wrenches are not the 14 series long pattern.

If I was starting a new collection, I definitely would. All are useful sizes.

"yourtoolssuck" is that you?

It's about time Stahlwille came out with a "modern" flex-head ratchet. They look good!

I wonder if it's made in Austria, the knipex patent expired ? The Gedore pliers forge there produces top notch metalwork.

I got this 10 liter gas can from my mom's home. It's from Soviet Union, ~ 30 years old, in aluminium and very thick, unused, very good condition. I have tested it with water, no leakage.

The russian text means "for fuel and oil"

yes, I also like it.
I love that shade of blue. Beautiful ! :)

Very carefully designed. I read this comment in Amazon and decided to buy it.
"Love this toolbox, super sturdy and well made. All the pivot points are securely riveted together so there is no possibility of it falling apart under normal usage. Love how it opens and how the two compartments smoothly glide open. I didn't read the description very carefully so it is a bit small for what I wanted, but still fits all my tools snugly. I also love the color, such a nice deep, rich blue. It is also lockable and unlike my other toolbox, the handles of this one actually fold flat. I will say that it is quite heavy duty and gauge metal, so with a lot of tools I can see this getting pretty heavy. The toolbox really seems to have been made with care and attention to detail."
Looks to be better quality than the third party made cantilever boxes being sold by Hazet and other German tool companies...

Trusco also makes double cantilever boxes in three sizes. This is the smallest one, the GT-350-B:

Unfortunately, the handles of the GT series don't fold flat. Same beautiful deep blue color though.

Yes, developed and produced in Austria, the Gedore version has function where the tab remains pushed down so you can adjust without holding down the tab, and it release by pushing it again. Also the grove are made for plastic insert, or hardend metal for cutting.

I was looking at both, and will probably go for the Gedore version.

Hazet HiPer

The new Hazet HiPer ratchet looks nice, have to say that the new look is an improvement. But I am surprised that they did not go for quick release. 90 teeth and 1000Nm.

The new version of the Assistent 179 have moved the lock/key to the side, new look to the side rubber, faster closing of the drawers, and better wheels are some of the changes. New accessory is also available, like the metal side door in the picture.

I have 7” and 10” Knipex pliers wrenches, but...any word on pricing for the Gedores in different sizes?

I like the traditional design of the long running Gedore Dremometer torque wrench range.

As far as I can trust my clients, Italian made DeWalt mitre saws (such as DWS780) are among the best on the Ukrainian market. And yes, we have Festool distributors too :D
:D What about Metabo ? :)
so when is Monte going to a tool show ??? :)
Next year :D
This year is the money saving year ...
(must buy a car...driving bus and train makes me sick :D)
Monte I remember that some time ago you bought Husqvarna cordless chainsaw and now you got Dolmar. Cordless one is not up to the task ? I ask because I want to buy 536Li 36V and I'm afraid technology is not there yet to be really useful.
It depends on what you are doing:) The cordless chain saws are nice for smaller stuff but for thicker things the gasoline saws simply have more torque/power and will cut things easier/faster. I posted some pics a while ago where i cut a tree which was thicker than the length of the bar of the saw and there you noticed that there is a lack of torque/power. It did work out so if you don´t do this all day long it will work. A gas saw with the proper power is more fun though.
Deutschland, Deutschland über alles !
:eyecrazy::D
Fatherland!)
soon to be changed into gender-appropriate "Homeland" ....
Woollen sock and garden tool experten Monte is usually the man to answer these questions, but he seem to have gone AWOL...
sorry had to do some garden work in wool socks :)

All the above Metabo are made in Germany and they feel good in hand.
:pimpflash
The jigsaw instructions say that if you set the thump wheel to A the rpm will increase incrementally to max however it seems to me that it is just max.

Does anyone knows anything or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks
i think you need to start a cut and then the saw will accelerate ?? no ?
Don't know why Wiha don't promote these more?
outdated...

Let me be the first to announce that Hazet finally managed to introduce a regular head sized 1/2" fine toothed ratchet: 916HP

LINK

They also changed the design of their assistent range and renewed their homepage. I am very hyped about the ratchet. I am waiting for this a long time:bounce::bounce::bounce:
I wish I could make a trip over to cologne for the "Eisenwarenmesse 2018".

 :D

How about some new world tools for the old world? Just noticed reichelt.de is also selling Klein tools.
Anyone from Europe tried their screwdrivers/pliers? Not tempted myself as pricing seems high compared to qualty European offerings readily available locally.
you also can find several exotic american brands on amazon.de...
I expect he has been arrested for industrial espionage at the show for taking to many photographs :eek2:
haha unfortunately not

omg omg omg omg omg new pliers wrench and other tools unveiled

They're lighter weight by removing "Excess material in non-crucial areas" and the handles are slightly changed to give a little extra space to avoid pinched fingers.

:D What about Metabo ? :)

About a hundred dealers in all regions. However, Metabo is not too popular on the Ukrainian market. There are problems with service and spare parts availability. Moreover, if you make an order for Metabo, you must confirm it at least twice. It's much easier to deal with Bosch and DeWalt.

I was waiting new ratchet(s) from Hazet as well since is their aniversary year. I have the 3/8 70 tooth ratchet, it’s nice but the head is quite bulky and quite offen there is no room for it. That is why i bought few month ago stahlwille 80tooth ratchet and it is propably my favorite ratchet for 3/8 now...

Been looking for 1/2 drive fine tooth ratchet and now it seems to be quite hard decision between Hazet and Stahlwille...And offcourse Stahlwille went to release new flexhead ratchets :willy_nil.

Sorry about this off topic question. I have been trying to get spare parts for a Protec Boxer roller [made in Germany BTW] but my mails get bounced back and I get "invalid number" if I try to call them. I am talking about this company:
http://www.comac-germany.de/index.htm

I suspect they are out of business but I can't find anything regarding the matter. I am wondering if any of you German speaking guys could do a quick search for me. I guess the question is - who bought them up? :)

Thanks.

Wera Kraftform 816 RA ratcheting handle with integrated Rapidaptor locking chuck + three PB Swiss long insert bits (Phillips No. 2, Phillips No. 3, and slotted No. 4)

I really like the design of this ratcheting screwdriver. The chuck locks to hold the bits very securely, and the fact that the chuck is located at the handle rather than at the tip means that there are no clearance problems. In addition, you can can easily spin the chuck with your fingers, and you can eject the tip with one hand.

The PB Swiss bits are insert bits, so they don't have a deep groove like power bits. I had a hard time finding long insert bits, but they have significantly less play in the Rapidaptor. The color coding (gold for Phillips and black for slotted) is also a nice touch.

Did you try this one:

If you send me a pm with the stuff needed I could give them a call on Monday or if they are not available call one of the free parts dealers. German is not a big issue to me.

They look very nice!

How is the quality of them in general?

Any sign of coo?

Sent from my SM-A510F using Tapatalk

If you look closely, you can see the "Made in France" stamp on the waterpump pliers :) I think some of products in this tool case are French made, and some are imported. For example, combination wrenches are the cheapest in SAM products range (50A series). They are EU made, but probably not in France. Screwdrivers and level look imported. Anyway, this tool case has "SAM Outil" warranty code. It means warranty with no time limit on tools used under normal conditions.

Speaking of SAM quality in general, the clients I sold SAM hand tools and PTS pneumatic tools are happy with them :D

Yes I tried them, phones disconnected and emails bounce back. Looks like they are closed.
I think the issue is solved - but many thanks for the help offer.

Cheers!

Latest addition, Oschenkopf alu-drehspaltkeil, a twisted aluminium splitting wedge. On the first day of Spring here in sunny south Somerset there was a raging blizzard and it got plenty of use as I started to ran out of wood to burn.

Aluminium doesn't send out dangerous sharp slivers like a mushroomed steel wedge being hit hard by a sledge or maul. The downside is the extra cost.
