Hey Monte - did you get your package from Triangle yet? Are you going to let us know what you thought of them?![]()
wow that triangle ratchet looks nice and i love the extension. never heard of triangle before. they look really cool, has anyone used them
A couple of recent Mitutoyo micrometer purchases. I am still looking for the 75-100mm digital.
Hello folks, I have been buying a few things to keep a good pace,
Since holiday season is coming soon I have to keep an eye on pawn shops because many people will sell their family tools to buy some stupid wii games they can't live without.
Photo 1 and 2; I bought them since my fingers do not fit very well in injection pumps.
Photo 3 and 4 I had to repair my watch
Photo 5 and 6 ogv vs standard
Photo 7 an excellent old peugeot drill, that model is very good for drilling a hole close to a wall, and I also love how they whistle like an air tool.

Hi guys!
I'd like to buy a good jack (I don't have one)
Haven't seen you on here for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages..
Did you receive that screwdriver tray i sent you?
Hello to everyone
This is my contribution for the old world tools. I'm a big Facom fan and i will post a few pictures with my tools. For the moment i took pictures only to the screwdrivers. They are from the Ergowtwist and Enduro series. Both are discontinued today as you all know. The best ergonomic handles ever. The rest of the tools will follow soon.
Greetings,
Adrian
The only "fancy" thing I'd like is a quick lift pedal and something made in Europe.
Concerning european tools, I received some new stuffs, Kress, Bessey, Erdi, Bosch, Gedore, Wera, Knipex,... but no pictures for the moment, I'll show you next time![]()
@Monte
You've seen the Compac in real at a fair right? Do they seem robust? From the picture I've seen (again it's just pics) the finish looks a bit coarse compared to Hazet and Facom, or at least more "industrial".
I'm sure that your sharp eyes weren't blinded by a lack of cosmetic appealHow do the mechanic parts look and feel ?
Thank you.
@ epiphany:
In the tools say: Made in EU.

I have tools my Grand Dad came over here from Germany with him.
My favourite Buick from the 90´s is a Buick Roadmaster. With LT-1 engine please![]()

@Monte
I had no plan to buy a russian roulette jack.
I like the AC and Mega more (Compac are fine too but green isn't my color), I think I'll go for a Mega (I like the tool tray and the lift pedal beside the "stick").
I have another question, their "low" profile model (T2X) seems really nice, very low (48 mm), has a longer stroke than the standard (455 vs 390) and just 4 cm longer (and 10 kg).
So are there any disadvantage with low profile jacks?
I'd like to buy a kitcar and sometimes I work on old sports cars so it might be an interresting feature...
I guess my parents will buy me the new Ferrari 458 for my birthday, I've heard it was really, really low, it's another good reason to have to right tool when I'll have to change oil, put the snow tyres,...![]()
I have tools my Grand Dad came over here from Germany with him.
My Grandpa had one of those.
Wouldn't you at least want an Impala SS?
(lol, MAC tools logo in the background)
piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiics![]()

yeah those Megas look purdy.
I personally prefer blue or green or anything besides red , because red always look imported![]()
Looking through the specs i don´t see disadvantages (only the higher price) only advantages (height, longer)
Why a trolley jack then ??? A vehicle lift is not much more $$$![]()
, I was doubtful, they told they've never heard of SIP and would check the origin of these jacks.
, it's always the same in Belgium

I don't think it's made in taiwan, the quality it's to good
Héhé, it's not because it's made in Taiwan that the quality can't be as good as what we produce here, we're not in the 50's anymore

I wait to receive everything for the photo shoot!
Anyway I'm at my "university apartment" during week days, I haven't seen these new tools yet either. My mum told me that the postman always looks so exhausted we he arrives at home with the parcels, he will have a lot of work this week
He already passed several quality test, complete motorbike engines, Leinen vises (125mm with turntable) and by the end of the week, a 300x400 granite surface plate![]()
I asked Mega for a belgian dealer, it's the same than the link you gave me, they're rebadged Rodcraft.
I've also asked about ABCO hydraulic in the UK, they're one of their english importer and Sipuk who sell "Mega type in Spain" floor jacks, I was doubtful, they told they've never heard of SIP and would check the origin of these jacks.
Abco has the T2 for 223€ and the T2X for 274€, I now have a reference to compare with the belgian importer. Rodac's were in sale at my local auto supplies shop last year, T2=362€, T2X=527€, it's always the same in Belgium

What's wrong with red?it's Facom's official colour!!!!!
Well you're right, imported tools
Anyway, Mega's red doesn't look like chinese ****'s red at all!! it's... a.... spanish red!![]()
Hehe, you're right about the Ferrari, I'll ask for an OMCN 4 post lift at christmas, it will be easier for clutch services... I just wonder if the chrismas tree will be big enough to put the gift box under...
Hello
Some more pictures today. First my SALTUS SOLINGEN socket set. I think Monte could tell more about the quality of this set and a Facom plier 180.CPE.
All the best,
Adrian
Picked this up today. Its a Dewalt from 2003.
I have some news concerning my european made floor jack price researches, I went this afternoon to my local auto supplies shop, I was prepared to the lack of competitive prices in Belgium but not at this point...
Rodac (Mega T2) 414€, Rodac (Mega T2X) 599€, AC hydraulics D20Q "on sale" 725€![]()
And these prices include a 15% discount
As it is a T2X I'd like, I'll probably buy it in the UK (275€), for such a difference it's worth to pay for shipping, or to take the shuttle and buy it there... Would be a good idea, Lista resellers have nice prices there![]()
My new/old boss's tools, he bought his about the same time I got mine, he had more money than me.... But he liked my ratchet so much he bought half the wurth catalog afterward. He has more but I was working and only took pics of the stuff on the benches.
@Monte
Hahaha is that a bosch wine opener? I should get one of those for my mom![]()
@ Monte where is that Bosch made at(HU or CH?) and well it was 90 miles round trip...![]()
Monte, he doesn't open his things up, ever. However being that wurth only makes nuts, bolts and screws they source the tools from common stock. I have the non-reversible ratchet wrenches and they are a dead ringer for Gearwrench brand tools, just marked differently. The ratchets are clearly Facom, perhaps you know who makes the BP wrenches?
Brian
perhaps you know who makes the BP wrenches?
Brian
iirc hungary. Most Bosch green tools are from there except some angle grinders and hammer/percussion drills. (DE iirc)
90 miles for 1 drill bit ?? wow you are really dedicated![]()
lolpoor postman !!! It´s time to order something lighter like screwdrivers or so i guess, before he quits his job
![]()
The SIP jack don´t look like a Mega jack. It doesn´t have the hole at the side of the jack. I guess a knock off.
Then i would take the Abco jack. Do you know what shipping cost ?
when i think of "red = import" i have this or this or this or this in front of my eyes(with a bit blue though
)
But you´re right, the Mega red looks like a spanish Matador red![]()
wow crazy prices !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder why ??? Spain + Denmark are not that far away from Belgium ....??? strange....
They also have good prices for Facom in the UKMaybe worth a trip..... a jack and a Lista cabinet filled with Facom
They also have the best breakfast in the world in England !

.
I know the 3/8 set from Ebay, it's nice. But i'm looking in buying a Facom one (fan)
