Not good. OK I want a "bare tool" English made Dewalt(can be NOS) where should I start looking. Money is no object.

How much do you want to pay ?? :D You need 220 Volt (2-Phase) though :D

Indispensable for electrical work...once you use it you never use anything else on switchgear etc.

:)

mrtools; the original Shell cable cutter looks very similar to "Bost"version sold over here. It is probably made in Taiwan, imitating Shell design. or even made by Shell?
----------
:)

I cant say anything, I am never seen "Bost"version cable cutters:headscrat
maybe it not Shell:D

Btw: Very unique and oldskool Stahlwille breaker bar:rocker:

Nice Record, I may be getting a NOS English made Stanley plane soon...

Also I was in Sears today to get a string trimmer(would have got a Husqvarna but they were chinese so I went domestic...) and saw these on sale for $23.99(it rang up as $39.99 but it was in the wrong place and had a sale tag on it so they honored it.) :)

Congratulation! nice Germany Knipex:drool:

I posted my new Hazet stuff in another thread.

Wow! nice blue box's:drool::drool:
keeps more pics coming please:D

yes, from the flea market for 5 bucks or so :)
but just for the collection :D
i have no battery charger :D

most likely PRC

it looks like the Bessey knife. If its the same then its made in china.

Hazet + Bessey made in China:shocking:

Of course Jens knows what he's talking about. No markings on knife or package. Here's a couple other shots. Sory they are slightly fuzzy - they were with my iPhone and even early in the morning, it is hot as hell here (Alabama), so it's trying to fog up. Heat index over 110º for the past several days.

I did not include the magnetic pickup tool in these, but it;'s very nice - magnet is very strong and it has a pick/winshield washer nozzle aimer on the other end.

Safety glasses are nice - I suspect made by Uvex or someone.

Bits are just some extras - the Hazet bits seem very high quality.

Screwdriver is a replacement for one I broke using as a prybar - who says Hazet is difficult to warranty? Not with Jens as your dealer!

Knife is very small, but nice. Should come in handy in some tight places.

Smart Case is as expected. I don't see much real advantage over a standard case, but it was on special now, so it was cheaper. When my buddy and I were working on a car with it, we put some pretty good torque on the little ratchet with no problems. I need to get about a 7" long 1/4" breaker bar, though.

@cliceu
Nice tools man:bowdown: You must be very rich, all of your tools must cost a fortune, I guess. I have always wondered what are the prices in Brazil for these tools? Also, the Stanley China-made chisels you have previously posted, in US they are about $10-$12 each, how much are they in Brazil? The NWS compound action diagonal cutter :drool: you have in one of the pictures is sold in US for about $40, how much is it in Brazil?
One more question, what is the voltage/frequency in Brazil, same as in US, 120V/60Hz?

Actually, prices for Wiha and Wera tools.... I don't think are that bad...

There are a lot of affordable Wiha pliers made in SROV, Socialist Republic of Vietnam - peddled on sites like Amazon.com, etc. I personally stay away from such stuff. Also, seen some reasonably-priced Wiha pliers without any COO. German-made Wiha tools are not cheap, but very difficult to find. As far as I know, most of Wera tools are made in Czech Republic.

I've actually seen a bit of bad feedback about their Sweetheart planes. The chisels do look interesting, but I'm hesitant.

I do have a Sheffield-made FatMax chisel that I'm quite fond of, though.

I think a plane is much more difficult to manufacture than a chisel. Couldn´t find the COO of the sweet heart planes, but the others are made in Mexico, the Chisels in England... :)

I have the 4 piece set. :)

They're very nice, I hope the tips stay as nice as they are now :D

This was from a review from amazon... pay attention and you'll see why I found this funny :)

"Nice feel, and comfortable to use. High-vis, and rarely stolen at work, as you're the only one with a set!. Stupidly, I used the largest one as a pry bar, and snapped the end clear off, and the old set is showing it's age. Good buy, but better suited to the professional/lineman application, you can wrap tape around cheaper screwdrivers for the home. 100% recommended."

Well, I did italicize it, but you get the idea :bounce:

I was looking for a tool box and decided to pay the Icelandic Stahlwille dealer a visit. He is also a dealer for Unior tools.

I was only few meters into the store when a salesman walked to me and offered help. I asked him about tool boxes and instead of answering he just stared at me. I stared back at him and discovered that he looked familiar. :headscrat After several seconds of staring we both coughed up each others names. He is an old buddy I lost contact with 20 years ago. :) And now he is 50% owner of the company. After a lengthy discussion I walked out quite happy with Unior toolbox.
DSC_4931.jpg

IMO this is very nice toolbox. The sheet metal has lots of stamps (?) to increase stiffness, even the hinge mechanism is stamped. Finish is very nice, and the price is reasonable compared to paper thin junk boxes sold here. Facom box costs almost double but it comes somewhat lined inside. Stahlwille was sold out.
DSC_4932.jpg

I spent the evening cutting rubber mat and lining it inside, since this box is intended for on and off road travel. I am hoping I do not have to glue the rubber mat to the box.

Threw in some tools.

Of course he gave me some reading material as well.

- No, I'm not rich, but my tools really cost a small fortune. ;)
- Buy here in Brazil everything is expensive, I paid 282 euros in my 3/8" set with shipping included (three smaller parcels post), here in Brazil would pay more than double the equivalent. Internet miraculous, paid prices in Europe excluding VAT shipping cost equivalent to domestic shipments only have to wait 30 days to arrive.

- Taxes: :headscrat
> via carrier pays 50% import tax + 17% tax ICMS (due type of transport) + approximately 5% customs clearance services :eyecrazy:
> via post, clearance and ICMS free, only charged 50% import tax (charge made by sampling for consumer non-electronics and more is charged to large volumes, my case almost never :) ), even paying taxes still worth.

- NWS FantasticoPlus cost 26 Euros + 14 Euros shipping (combined with another product)

- In my area: 120V single phase, 220v Bi or Three-Phase 60Hz, service availability above 99.9%, money is the limit...

@Cliceu
Thank you for your detailed answer. Most of my Knipex pliers cost in the range $25-40$ (18-28 Euros) plus ~9% sales tax, I bought all of them in USA from official distributors, shipping was either free or cheap. Klein pliers are about the same, $30 (21 Euro) each.
