Hi, I don't want to make you angry or sad, but I know something more about the Baum brand. It is the cheapest and lowest quality sort of tools, sold in "Globus" supermarkets here in Czech Republic. For the first look, all the Baum tools seem to be made in Germany and they surely look cool. But for closer look they are the biggest **** from China I ever seen. Last week in Globus I saw Baum combination pliers, side-cut pliers, adjustable wrenches, open-end wrenches and many more. The quality of all these tools was really horrible. In fact that all the pliers were well (too much) oiled, there were visible rust spots on most of pieces, pliers jaws didn't fit together on every piece, adjustable wrenches couldn't be from steel because of their suspicious lightweight, and they have big jaws play. Only the open-end wrenches seemed to be normal, but I would never spend 1 cent for any Baum tool after seeing the rest of their production. Simply it's typical "like-german", very low quality product made in China. I'm sorry for my opinionbut run away from any Baum tool!
No Worries! Thanks for the help, and glad to know now. The equipment is German made (control valves for heating/cooling systems), and come with both Hazet and/or Baum tools.
I'll just make sure I get more of the Hazet stuff!

well, i haven't found somebody who works with them and not like'em too...
(can say the same about Stahlwille's wrenches too though...)

i really want a set of 600 N as well. I'm still trying to decide between hazet and stahwille for combination wrench. I wish those brands weren't so expensive in the USA. Still worth it though.
Does anyone know if those brands are available in Mexico? I have an address I can ship them to down there, and I know they can get some stuff from europe that you can't get in the states...like a bmw 135 wagon

I can ship Hazet to you anywhere in the world whatever it is. Just shipped a Hazet 179-1 to Osaka last week and a screwdriver set to the Faroer Islands, that's about the larges and smallest item available. You can look up some references on this board as well.
Plus you pay only the German price plus the actual shipping costs and nothing more.

Hey Monte, I have a favor to ask. Can you take a pic of an equivalent Hazet and Stahlwille deep offset box end wrench? I am wondering if the Hazet will work for top strut nuts in my cars. I know the Stahlwille will work, but the Hazet has a 21x22mm, which is what I need.

i must confess that i don´t own any Hazet deep offset wrenches, but i will look in the garage if someone has one. Can take a couple of days.
Is that a CR-V, or Moly socket? Strikes me as something that could easily be made with a nice thick wall, and a cut off wheel.

Smart looking tool, but maybe a bit weak to torque the nut to 80Nm?!
The OEM socket (Volkswagen/Audi and Porsche) should be on the market somewhere, try german ebay? Or ask Moose, he should know. I have the Porsche one, can give u the partno if interested.
Otherwise it works perfectly as Altec suggested, to cut open a standard deep socket, have done a couple of those for tightarsed teams...

The replacement set is awesome though.
I have the above, but the socket is a VW factory tool and the hex key a BMW one. Both hazet, but stamped with VW/BMW part numbers. You could probably still buy the sockets through VW.
