Vessel, Engineer...The tools i've always wanted Do you know how many teeth have the Vessel peta Ratchet

I'm not sure, but it says US patent on it. I think it's the same as the Craftsman/Blue Point/Kastar bit ratchets. Just with a more fancy handle and the magnetic sleeve.

Has anyone in the US ever ordered from www.stanleysupplyservices.com?
Most of the Facom tools listed are Special Order. I was wondering how long it takes..

I ordered a Facom R2 Nano ratchet set when it was in stock and it took 3-4 business days to get to me. I ordered a Facom cantilever tool box after I called and asked how long it would take for a special order, the lady at the toll free number claimed 2-3 weeks... I'll let you know when it gets here.

They have the BEST prices on Facom

Here are a few more pics of my Japan haul. I really really like the handles on the regular black rubber grip Anex screwdrivers.

The SunFlag mini driver comes with two shanks, #2/6, and #1/5.5

A MegaPro compact ratcheting screwdriver was waiting for me when I got home too. I'm a little let down, I have both 13-1 ratcheting drivers. The ratcheting mechanism is not quite the same, a little rougher, stiffer selector, and it doesn't have the same serrated grip as the 13-1's. I emailed MegaPro to see what the COO of this new compact driver is, as well as my gripes. I'll let you all know when they respond.

Anyone heard of this company?

Yes I have that brand from my grandfather. I can take a pic of another one if anyone really wants to see another wrench by superslim.

TD Williams were, I believe, based in the "Black Country" a formerly heavily industrialised area to the North West of Birmingham, UK. They had their own forge and latterly produced spanners branded as "Superslim". They also made some nice torque wrenches of which I have one, a 21st birthday present.

The company was still going in the 1980s but I haven't seen their stuff (new) around for a while so guess they've gone the way of most British tool manufacturers :(

those sunflag mini drivers look like they could be very useful, at least two places on a Volvo i know it would come in handy :D

Thanks! Yes, their pricing seems very good, I was just worried about waiting months for the tools to arrive.

@demographic

I've had this pencil for years in my toolbox, along with a few others, I just noticed recently where it was made.

Nice!

Here are a few more pics of my Japan haul.

That's some good looking drivers! Need to get me some Japanese tools!

Ole hyvä, in english; There you go:

Some facts.
Someone told me that 1960's normal construction workers two days salory did not get even a desent construction hammer let alone one these socket sets, that how expencive real tools where those days.

Cool, thanks!

Yes, the standard of living has changed a lot since then. Then people fixed their own cars because they had to. Now people like me buy broken cars and spend money fixing them as a hobby.

Here's my latest haul, excluding some Hazet tools a Gedore ratchet and a few other bits I'm waiting for :D

Love that W.Germany stamping! Design has not changed much since then though! Nice other stuff also.

That's a nice locking plier!

Well, something completely different:

A while back I posted some pictures of my garage. I promised a video, and here it is. Please excuse the shaky camera, my mumbling in bad english and nervous voice... But at least I dare to talk, so that's a challenge for Monte :D

My garage storage

I will try to make some more, of the tool collection!

Whitworth (W) and British Standard Fine (BSF) use the same thread form, although BSF threads have a smaller pitch (ie greater TPI). Spanner sizes are denoted by the diameter of the thread. Whitworth threaded fasteners use a spanner size one size smaller than a BSF fastener of the same diameter.

So a spanner for a 5/16" Whitworth threaded fastener will also fit a 3/8" BSF fastener.

However, just to complicate matters, more modern Whitworth threaded fasteners have a one smaller sized hexagon so use the same spanner size as BSF.

Hope that hekps! :headscrat

Well I nearly got a Swiss Bosch hammerdrill today to celebrate 400 pages but the one at Lowes was scuffed up and didn't look photogenic enough so I didn't buy it. :lol_hitti Also I found 5 bars of Swiss chocolate at Aldi for $0.99 apiece so all is well. :)

lol.....maybe they would make you a good price....and if you use the tool it will scuff up anyway :).... ? :)

Nice chemicals but you need a bottle of this. :)

not sold over here :(
so i´ll try Brunox from switzerland instead :)

nice old Bahco tools !
Back in the days power tools were very expensive so tool companies sold attachments for drills, so you could turn a drill into a circular saw or grinder etc. I don´t know if you remember those ? Nowadays you can afford to buy a power tool with the wage of 1 or 2 hours...(ok imported...) ..back in the days you probably have to save your money for 1 month or even longer...

Just bought these for work,

nice ! Thought Duratool only offers cheap tools.... :)
Cool rebadged Felo´s !!!

Nos Knipex pliers

cool !!

Really nice set of wooden handled Wiha's

that´s why they have a leather cap at the end, so you can strike them :)

a Record made in Sheffield England vice

sweet vice !!

metabo air line nozzle, no coo again tho

there should be something stamped into the trigger, like "GAV Italy"

That reminds me of my old Dad`s tools, he had an Bosch drill with a skill saw attachment.
Never used it, looked a little to shaky to me.
