few weeks ago I got my hands a 916-1, I was so close to buy one, that rathet has nice feel on it and sounds just right. I like tools that do not even look like ones made in China and with that Hazet 916-1, you be sure it dos not.

Instead oh that Hazet ratchet I got my self Hazet 600N wrenches.
attachment.php

Not the full set, but usual sizes; 10mm, 13mm, 17mm and 19mm, since I rarely use any other size, maybe 8mm would be nice adition.
Those are just best there are! And I have try out most of brands there are.

I just bought a 12pc set of those 600N model.
When you say they are the best there are, in what way do you mean ? Strength, durability etc. Please explain because I want to feel better about spending all that money lol...

Sure;
Durabillity or strength is not issue with quality tools, what I see more important is general feel of the tool. I want to tool feel like everytime when you use it, you think your self "that is good wrench and even when I paid 54€ for four wrench, it was worth it"

First when you take one of 600N wrenches in your hand, jou imidiatly feel; Tool it self is just right.

First is handle; I like thik handle that you can easilly lay your finger around handle. Handler in Hazet is not of those "thin" ones that when you really turn something opend it fiils like wrench is cutting your hand...
Handle is really long, so you might need shorter ones in tight place, but this is really what you use your tools
I like finnish that is not mirror cromed, which is slipery when you have oil in your hands.

U-end is thik and covers bolts compleatly, same goes for box end that turns really nicely to bolt wals. (I have to admit that Gedore got thigter box end, but both got similar grip) wrench does not bend, some thing you might found other manufacturers tools.

Thanks. Btw, the box is made in W-Germany:)

french drill bits and W-Germany box. Can´t get any better than that :D ;)

Nice pics:thumbup: I thought the "made in Germany" would be laser etched, not stamped. That's good:thumbup:

yeah that´s very good because i don´t like laser etched :wtf::)

What's your opinion about this ratchet ?
Nice ratchet Monte.

Price?
Opinion?

thanks !
€45.- + tax

The ratcheting feels like the older version, a bit stiffer maybe but it´s still new. The ratchet itself is a bit shorter than the older version, the head is about 3.4mm wider but a bit shorter (not so tall). The head parts (also the black part on top) is all metal. The handle consist of black plastic and slightly recessed blue "rubber". It´s kind of flat. but still comfortable. I don´t know how this will be in the winter because of the metal at the handle so i might use the 916-1 in the summer and the 916F in the winter :D :lol_hitti
On the internet pics of this ratchet, in the Hazet catalog for example, the ratchet looks a bit goofy but in reality i like it. Taiwanese design "Made in Germany" :D ;)

I baby mine so they keep that new look. :)

and with which tool do you drill a hole ? :)

That reminds me of my old Dad`s tools, he had an Bosch drill with a skill saw attachment.
Never used it, looked a little to shaky to me.

my father still has and sometimes use his AEG tool set. I´ll post some pics these days.

.
Awesome ratchet, great ,congratulations Monte! Y.O.U..A.R.E..B.E.S.T!!!
v!

t.h.a.n.k.s. ;) :D ;)

@Monte
Damn! That Hazet ratchet is ****. Does it have a sister? :bounce:

yes a older sister :D

Well if I'm using a corded drill I get a towel to lay it on when I don't use it, chuck don't get close to anything if cordless I have someone hold it when not in use or I do if someone else is using it. Got to keep that new look. :)

Only tool I have that really looks used is my electric planer...

Nice video monte maybe I can get my German cousin to make a video using some of my tools sometime... She speaks perfect English but has a WV accent...

Congrats Monte, page 406!!

About two weeks ago I started on page 1 of this thread and I just finished :) Which is the worst possible thing I could do to my wallet.
(I've kept a chadstoolbox order going in the next tab) :bounce:

I want to drop the coin on it soon, it's just that I've heard shipping times can be grueling. 3 month average wait I've head? I dunno, most of my stuff is Knipex so maybe it'll come sooner... we'll see. I attached a screen shot of my order at the bottom.

Anywho, Bhae posted this forever ago in page 387 and I'm liking the design alot:

I can't seem to find number on these though. TD020DSE is the model for the battery.

OK, I am not Monte, but anyway:

Hazet Ha-Zet is the German pronounciation of HZ which are the intials of Hermann Zerver, the founder of the company.

I would say it is more like Hah-Tsett

Thank you jens! I forgot Monte isn't the only German on here :)

Wow, those tools! Words are not necessary! I want a closer look on everything though. :)

You don't have to speak, it's probably just me who isn't smart enough not to make a fool of myself on the internet.

welcome to the board. If you are still alive after reading up to the last page you will be inspired. It's pity that everything was stolen, but a great chance to start over again with the best tools advised to you by us!

More Lambo pics please...
Let's just keep this thread about tools, that is why I included Hazet wrench in picture. (And good thing that was, as I notice that Weber carburator emergency filter cap where loose, paper gasgets had dry out.)
I'll post pictures from my carage in some other section in this forum.

Or, I could take pictures from tools and have really odd backround in photo. :)

I have five exotic cars and I do all work for them, my speciality is carburators and multible carburator (four or six carburator cars) adjustments. I just love old Weber carburated cars!
Last weekend I made cambelt change for one of Ferraris.
More as a hobby I work on other high exotic cars as well.

So I really, really use my tools and they are not just for keep in toolbox.

No, old Italian... ;)

And others...

Jikes! I'm speechless! Post a link to your garage thread please!

Can't wait!

Yeah, I try to act stupid around people with the same illness only. The tool fever! It's enough that the GF already thinks I'm an idiot for photographing tools for the internet. :)

Welcome!

Too bad about your tools, I hope everything worked out with the insurance company? Post up all your new purchases!

My latest purchases:

Upgraded some stuff in my apartment toolbox. Made in Germany Craftomat concrete drills and a small Stabila level.
