couple more purchases

hazet 17/19 wrench
IMG_0562.jpg

really nice to handle as anyone who owns any hazet wrenches will know
shame its not a combination as opposed to open end, but still handy:D

IMG_0563.jpg

another PCL tyre depth gauge (i only just got one, but a colleague 'borrowed it' then he got moved to another garage in the dealership before returning it... i was rather annoyed to say the least

and a Stahlwille 13 series 10mm spanner, bought it to replace a missing one in a cheap no name set i have, mainly to see what there like, goign to get the full range now to replace that set,

1/4 of the the price of the similar length snap on set i priced up, (shorter then the other ones i have and not 'flankdrive plus' so i wont damage fasteners with the open end, useful on motorbikes etc) and the quality is comparable, finish is second to none without being too 'bling' i prefer the satin finish to the polished snap on spanners really

goign to need a new toolbox soon as im running out of room (alas it will most likely be a snap on one :p ), :bounce: want a Hazet assistant too, but not found any vendors in the uk yet :/

2 rotary hammers are "Made in Japan", the rest is from China.

:)

shame, im looking for a German, Japanese or European made drill (i get an allergic reaction at thinking of buying a well known brand tool that's made in china, for reasons i wont get into in too much detail, this forum isnt the place for sociopolitical arguments :p)

might look at one of those impacts tho

Gute bilder herr Monte. :)

of course :D
only had a few bucks with me because of some excessive power tool spendings lately :) so i took this Stahlwille screwdriver set for 19,95€ :)

The name of the store sounds like a *** shop... :lol_hitti

i thought you´re from the US and not Somalia or Afgahnistan ... :D

lol Its not that bad here but I've needed them a couple of times for dangerous animals or crazy neighbors/crims...

Monte, do you know who makes these cases?

A_4000821843_01.jpg

Looks like the one I'll be getting.

If its the same I wasn't too impressed with it. Better than one piece but still kinda cheap. I'm more a fan of Pelican/Peli cases.

Oh I found this at my grandmothers.

Are they no good ? :)

No, they have been excellent. Some of them are 23 years old, some tips are worn and handles are worn smooth and can be a bit dangerous here in the heat when your hands get sweaty.

I'm not sure if metal materials will be any better on newer stuff but I know the handles are.

Thanks for posting up all the pics too...nice to see all that stuff.

ok if they worked for 23 thats pretty good :) I saw you already have proper replacements:thumbup:
I think Felo + PB still make good drivers :)

some more soon :)

Is it just me or do others not trust electric tool companies who make stuff other than tools?

I had a theory once...if they make a worksite radio, don't buy them. Its been hard to find a good electric tool company recently. :)

i guess Makita only supplies the batteries and electronics for the cycle ?
Radios are probably sourced from a radio manufacturer like www.perfectpro.eu ?

i guess china. The price is too low i think. "Designed in Europe" yes :)

I have a radio that was designed in Denmark and even had a Danish price but made in china and very underperforming compared to my new Japanese Sony. Its a shame Grundig and Philips don't make radios in Europe anymore. :(

Oh I was paying my mother's Sears bill today and couldn't leave without visiting the tool department and I noticed Footprint tools were being clearanced out. I picked this well made saw up for a tenner. :)

Beta 920/55X, here comparison of my old 920/55LC
attachment.php

In other words short 1/2" ratchet, that is basicly 3/8" ratchet with 1/2" insert.

Shorter one is 200mm long and 30mm wide.

I understand KS-tools mostly sells products from other manufacturers, like these ratchets, that can be found under many other name.

yes

First ratchet from up is really nice, I have got my hands on one those. You can tilt handel and make it T-hadel ratchet, really nice.

Like always, Beta finish is first class.

Monte: Thanks for the pictures! No problems running around photographing at the fair? I'm guessing you don't have a press pass.

Monte, if you don't mind me asking, what is your job? :)

You have the most amazing tool collection and an unrivalled knowledge, not to mention the abilty to find anything we ask about, but so far i've never heard what you do for a living. :)
