My Facom cantilever box arrived today. I like it it
Good box to load up with what I need and go...
$85 shipped from France
... very nice box, I really like the 2-tone style of it.
... it demands rivetting for assembly after the paint job is done.
... while I struggle about this issue with my own 'cantiler box resto', could you please be so kind to take a close-up of the rivetting from inside and as well from outside?

I actually seen something made in Yugoslavia in a hardware shop the other day. It was a section of a toy train track that was decades old.

Things made in Yuogoslavia, are very good and good, much better than today, it was another time when quality was the first place.

I used to have a Yugoslavian SKS(M59/66) with a grenade launcher and it was much better quality than the Norinco I had.

I've always wanted one of those but they are banned from import(thanks President Bush...
) I've been thinking of getting a Saiga(10rd capacity and missing all the fun features...) or a US made Arsenal.Right now I have an Armalite AR15 and today I just got 10 Magpul Emags(export version of Pmags for NATO rifles.)

My favourite is the Format/Bessey snip with the drop forged handles because the handles are slimmer so the snips fit better in my hand and i can work better with it. It cuts nice too.

I mostly only find handles that are stamped/rolled steel.

No kidding! I'm quite surprised myself at the COO. Even that reversible ratcheting wrench says "Brasil" on it. ...but I guess if Germany can produce ratcheting wrenches, I suppose Brasil can as well.
That socket is just like these sockets that Re-Dai in Taiwan has been producing. I think they supply Mac with the "Mac-Edge" line of products. The twist beam wrench, where it twists midway in on the handle is just like the wrenches that Kabo in Taiwan once produced.
Interesting. Are the mesh grills/filters a neccessary item for working in certain conditions/uses? Does Bosch, Flex, Fein, etc. offer the same for their products?

When I did my military service in Military Police -comppany, My daily used service weapon was "RK 62 TP" so called "MP version" a rare version from original, that has stock that can be tilted 180 decrees along weapon body, to make very compact, alomost like sub machine gun.

In training I have shot hundreds and hundres of bullet in one go. Total of many thousands and never ever got a single jam.
One time it in winter I was out for one week in -30/-35 decrees and while sleeping in tent my own breath moisture condensed inside weapon making body case half full of solid ice. After I warm it out over camp fire, I made full day in shootin cource without any problem.
From 150 meter I could fire Happy face to target and from 300 meters still hit target with all in full magazine.

I uesd to own a Valmet 30-06, 12 guage combo rifle. Used it in the Yukon bush from anything from a grouse to a moose. Great rifle.

I found it on the Croatian internet advertisement "www.njuskalo.com", the price is 300 kn ~ 40 EUR with delivery. Unior initially was yellow, and was changed into the blue, I do not know exactly when.

The "Xi-On" sockets are exactly the ones i was thinking of when "Taiwan" came to my mind...
Hopefully the Tramontina guys don´t put the wrong stickers with "made in Brasil" on the packages...
I want to use the grinder exclusively with wire wheels so i thought it might be a good idea to add the protectors so in case a wire flies around it can´t enter the tool. On the other hand the wire probably will shoot away from the grinder
If you grind overhead maybe it protects the tool from debris which falls on the tool. Dust etc. can enter anyway. Since dust is what kills the motor the manufacturers use epoxy coating and other measures to protect the stator and rotor from abrasion. Fein for example goes one step further and installs the rotor 180 degree reversed so the brushholder is not at the end of the tool where the cable is but directly behind the gear case so dust/debris is directed away from the collector and brushes/brush holders so the collector/brushes are better protected from abrasion and a short much likely won´t happen.

Facom COO on some tools..
This is the first of two orders I placed for some Facom tools.
Given the price of some items, I am not too surprised by the COO..
The COO is on the packaging label, although it is so faded I could hardly make it out, especially on the engineer's hammer.. probably China or Taiwan.
The only tools made in France are two insulated screwdrivers.
The 440 combo wrenches are made in Taiwan, no surprise there..
Locking pliers, China
I needed some 1/2' extension.. made in Taiwan
The 3/8" rotator ratchet, Taiwan.
These adjustable wrenches are made in China
3 M tape measure, Taiwan
Over all I am fairly happy with my haul, considering what I paid. Now if only the Facom cantilever box would arrive for me store it all..

They are all for different purposes, "Right tool for the right job", ok some are just because they look cool (like the Suhner one i posted lately) but other have their defined purpose like the 1400 Watt Bosch for heavy duty cutting, the Hitachi for single hand use, The Atlas Copco for extended periods of use (grinding) because of the more ergonomic rat tail handle and the "Autobalancer" the vibration level is very low, the Fein for slow speed applications because the tool goes only up to 7000 rpm so it´s good for 3M cleaning discs, SC-discs etc. ...... etc. etc. ...
ok and because angle grinders are the coolest power tools because they make the most noise and can throw the most sparks

i started with one but slowly (ok lately they appear faster
) the collection grew over the last 7 years... One new grinder per year was the plan They were mostly not that expensive, the latest acquirements were all between 82.- and 94.-

generally the angle grinders which look like the one i posted are from germany as well as the large ones. 2-Speed drills are from germany too, the highest priced sanders are still made over here, cordless drills (LT/LTX models) cordless angle grinder, all rotary hammers (except the big ones which are supplied by Milwaukee/TTI) and many other tools are still "Made in Germany".
