It's nice to see at least those are still made in Switzerland. Based on the reviews I have read and such, Bosch still makes the best jigsaws on the market.. at least of all those which are priced reasonably anyway.

Oh yeah and FYI sears has better prices on Knipex than Lowes.

The fact it was made in Switzerland was actually why I got one. A long time ago(around when I signed up) I was at Sears shopping for jigsaw blades for my dad's Black & Decker. I seen they were Swiss made so I got a pack unfortunately(or fortunately really...) they were T shank and the B&D used the other type. So I go looking for a jigsaw on Amazon and see a Bosch barrel grip and I read the reviews and someone mentioned it was made in Switzerland which blew my mind(I thought everything but Festool and Fein was made in Mexico or China) as it was at a price I could afford. Later I see the 1590 EVSK at Lowes and I ended up getting it and a ton of other Swiss and German made Bosch tools later on.

Yeah I get the Knipex on sale at Sears otherwise I go to Lowes as I get a 10% military discount.

I don't know yet. Maybe not until my current cheapie one decides to quit on me. So far it's lasted more than a couple hours of run time. I'll think about it more when my income is more stable (just like Lockpicker...job situation isn't the greatest ).

It almost feels shameful to hit them beauties.

It's kind of ironic that all these renowned European screwdriver manufacturers have poured in a lot of R&D into their production of putting out highly accurate and precise tip profiles, to come out with these screwdrivers that encourages the user to use a hammer. ....but in hindsight, I think PB was smart. They actually placed a design on the striking surface to intentionally discourage users from striking it, and thereby lengthening the useable life of the screwdriver.

Hanover Tool store happened to be very similar to the German Bauhaus, maybe less glamorous but packed with tools from the top to the bottom! So I decided to take a store tour with my monster camera. This time (unlike my Bauhaus tour in Germany) I got an official permission from the store manager, a very nice and friendly lady.
I was surprised to find the Knipex stand in one of our local stores, Hanover Tool.

Thats funny, neumann is one of my favorite shops here (they offer great support).

Very good looking tool. I can remenber my father having one of these ratcheting tap wrenche, but branded Facom and not as well made as this Schröder.

Abit says that it could've been done to retain the great balance that their hammers have. Perhaps, maybe?
I might just get the replacement face and place it on their largest dead blow that I got.

In comparison between the Bosch GWS 14-125 CE and Fein WSS 14-125 the Bosch is shorter, weight and other technical data is about equal, Bosch has 70 Watt more output power and is 1000 rpm faster and has a slimmer housing (circumference 20,4 cm) than Fein (21,1 cm measured behind the gearcase) so i think it´s a matter of taste which product you prefer or how you use the tool. For example Fein has a slim "tail" so it´s a bit more comfortable to hold in 2-hand applications, while Bosch is shorter which might be helpful sometimes. It also depends on if you prefer a top or side switch. So every tool has it´s pro´s and con´s thats why i have both

The Quick-In system can´t be used with M14 threaded accesssoires like wire wheels with built in M14 thread (cup brushes e.g.) also you need a special spindle and backing pad if you want to use fibre discs. The Quick-In spindle looks like this: click and click

So if Fein, and if you only want to buy 1 angle grinder then i would recommend the M14 version "WSG 14-125" . Fein just has reduced their prices for angle grinders (at least here) about 25% so they´re more reasonable nowadays...

CFH is available mostly at big box stores so i think it´s DIY quality. It´s cheap and does it´s job

You maybe have the chance to find Schröder tools in france soon too since Peddinghaus (MOB) will take over the production of Schröder effective 1. january 2012. I think they make the tap wrenches since they also make this ratcheting screwdriver which seem to use the same mechanics ? I don´t know if they also make the handle of that driver maybe the other Schröder company has something to do with it but they offer these services so they should be able to make the tap wrenches i think ? But i don´t know

Bahco 1/2" 80 teeth ratchet 270mm,(Stahlwille 512 is shorter)very nice,good rubber hande+smooth action ratchet mechanism.
if you ask me,this is the best fine tooth 1/2" bahco.

I like to add; my favorite Bahco ratchet. In other word; If I have to run for one ratchet in my garage, this would be it!

Bahco 796 "Sweden" (without all that bling-bling-mirror crome )

It's from late 1980's, really odd thing is most of these ratchet, that I have seen, are with slotted screw holding rotation plate. Most of them are loose and there for broken. This one is with hexagon screw and it seems to hold better. Again; action on mechanism is super smooth.

Really tricky part is; Facom S.151, looks so similar (and specially those Bahco ratchet that have sloted screw) that it is posible that Bahco did not make these all the way trougth.

This is only clear picture I got, something´s wrong with the camera. As seen in picture, the actual socket size was 3/4 (19,05mm), it´s worn but not that bad it couldn´t be used. Toolkit was bought in 2004 so it´s not old, maybe the steel is just bit too soft. Both ratchets are warrantied, new 1/4 in picture, acquired today. I kinda like the design of those sockets, I´ve never seen that
design used by other brand as it´s well known that Kamasa is rebrand stuff.

Really tricky part is; Facom S.151, looks so similar (and specially those Bahco ratchet that have sloted screw) that it is posible that Bahco did not make these all the way trougth.

As you probably know, Würths ratchets share same mechanism, therefore you can use Würth repair kit to salvage old Bahco´s (and get a modern torx-screw for rotation plate)

I think that Stahwille 515 has the same innards also....

Sennheisers aren't bad, but I replaced the senns we had with the Beyer Dynamics..Our wireless mics are Sennheiser though and work very well.

That Bahco ratchet looks great with their translucent green handles. I believe that was their trademark color in the 80's and 90's?

So, they are 72-tooth like the Facom...interesting. I guess Facom didn't have a patent on them?

I find it surprising that a modern rebuild kit would work with that vintage Bahco ratchet. ....they've been using the same dimensions for all these decades--amazing.

Tab is plastic and slides easily back and forth so you can get it out of the way. Haven't tested the square for accuracy but for all practical purposes it does what it should, so far at least.

Your exactly right, that limited edition was a special order. They seem to be big on that, they will make things to fit your order/promotion whatever! Not all greens and yellows are pozi/electro though (even though they are supposed to be, and are normally sold that way) - special orders can be done in other colors. Also, I could be wrong about the purple, but I thought I saw it somewhere.
