Woodcraft stores in the US are selling these Wera Hex-Plus L keys for $12.00 a set. These Wera sets are longer than most of the typical sets you see.

I think Gedore have the same but also in chrome.

From 91mm for the 1.5
to 260mm for 12

Just a note for those of you in the market for a nail puller/catspaw(?), the Estwing "ProClaw" pullers at Home Depot are being switched from the Japanese-made Dogyu rebrands to their copy of it. (Made in Taiwan). I was going to buy a smaller one but I won't get it from them I guess.

Haven't posted or been here in a while...

Some photos from my local Lee Valley store when I went to check out their 'Festool days'. Sorry for the poor photos; they were taken from my cell phone.

Yup, I've noticed that myself as well, up here in Canada's Home Depot.

Saw this at HD for 14$!

hmmm good price !

Is it 6mm shaft attachment or is it M-thread like ordinary angle grinders?

it has a 1/4" thread to take 3M "Roloc" backing pads.

I'm not going to post much of them though, since it's mostly stuff that has already been posted (got the 1/2" Facom sealed head, some more 440s, more Gedore 7R sizes, some sockets and such)

:needpics:

THOR Copper/Rawhide hammer (size 2).

beautiful :pimpflash

I appreciate your opinion Rusik (do not worry about the photos, over the week I saw the news about the cold wave in many parts of Europe), in fact I have several tools of this brand, including these wrenches, as soon as possible I'll post some pictures.

I'm not in Europe. We have a temperature of -20 ... -25'С - is the norm :)

@superautobacs Thanks for the photo axes. Very fond of axes

Nice:drool::drool:

Soldering iron I bought at a specialty store in Russia

Somewhere I have my earliest Britool catalogue , it is only about 4" x 6".
Dating from mid-1960's , it still listed .448" hex. drive sockets.

Why .448" , I don't know - it equates to no metric or inch Allen key, must be dated to prior to WW2, somewhere I have a few that I inherited , think they have the broad-arrow mark.

Odd ones still turn up.

I'll took some photos when I visit him. :) It will not happen soon though. we live in different cities.

sure ? I think the package says "Made in PRC"

No I'm not. I asked a friend who suggested it to me. I don't know if he looked at the tool before replying though. Maybe from prc is only the package. :dunno:

Sorry, I assumed a location based on the news. God, I can not imagine anywhere near that temperature, here I feel cold when it reaches 10-12° C (which happens rarely)

Except the number 10 that I was owned, I receive these last week :)

Great lok,

A question please, I'm not sure about the prospect of the image, but these are kind stubby wrenches? or have the same size as the conventional version? Sorry if it seems obvious, but really have not seen many ratchet wrenches...

Excellent, I see that are made in Germany, somewhere on the web (I think on this site) had read that many reputable brands (U.S. mainly) manufactured these versions in ASIA. In fact, I have GearWrench ratchet wrenches (10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm if I recall), and are among the few available locally

And yes they are made in Germany. Ιn 2011 Gedore began manufacturing all three sizes,Stubby, normal and extra long, on its own.

I seen those but I'm saving for a PB Swiss set. :)

I wasn't familiar with that brand but it looks like nice stuff. I particularly like their ratcheting screwdrivers and torque handles$$$.

My only recent Swiss purchase barely qualifies as a tool purchase although it's something I use almost daily. I was at my local metal supplier. Occasionally they have tables with tool close outs that they get from who knows where. There was a box of Swiss made Dumont folding tweezers for $1.00ea. These Dumonts make my previous shop tweezers look like linesman pliers.
