We like pics :3gears:

Not only are these great paint (and gasket) scrapers, but they can also be used to carve out body filler if needed, and clean the sheet metal plate I use for mixing hardener and filler. Swedish quality, very ergonomic and nice tools.

Next: Forget sandpaper - Mirka NET is out and available! Honestly - there is no comparison. Sure, the net does pack up from grinding body filler - just like sandpaper - but you just have to give it a little shake and it is good as new. It holds the bite quite well and works a LOT faster than sandpaper. Real time saver!

Should anyone be curious regarding what I am doing I am making fender flares for my 4x4.
DSC_5346-a.jpg

Finally, my good old soldering gun in excellent company. The gun is way beyond puberty , probably 30 years old and made in Germany. The Pixa 3 (my third eye) is however made in Malasia. It finds it way to my forehead every day. Not perfect, but close... Expensive but worth it!

I do not know for sure, but all mechanical torque wrenches have a range where they are off. From what I have read, proxxon are off by about 5-10% at the lower range but good in the middle and high range. They allow for calibration.

So I scoured Lowes for anything made in a country that I appreciate (meaning europe, north america, etc.)

Found ONE small Bessey clamp.. made in Germany right on it :)

gigantic link lol
But it was the only one out of like 50! Even the K-body Revo clamps were made in China.. I'm really disappointed.

Also found an "Oregon" brand (They make stuff for chainsaws) file, well a few of them, but I just bought the smaller file. 5$ :) Made in Switzerland... I can't find files this nice anywhere around here, and they're cheap to boot! All my other files are nicholson (made in USA, and trust me I checked the packaging lol)

http://www.oregonchain.com/homeowner/products/accessories/depthgauge_flatfile.htm

Found a Craftsman saw with a blade made in Denmark too. Didn't buy it though. Pretty cheap too, 8$ I think.

I reallllllly want some Gorbet files... anyone have some of those they don't want? :)

A KTM!:spit: A Husquarvna! :scared:

I kid!:D

I know KTM and Husky are kings over there....here in the states it like "Husqua what!" KTM is starting to make a name for itself here but its still all Japanase dominated. Though the KTM 350 has been a HUGE flop here....that didn't help. Funny how things are different!

I am sure you have plenty of 13mm sockets for them....I never used one on my Japanese bikes.

Any bike is better then no bike!

:D
Here no more Germany & Swiss made disc all of them comes from Asia:lol_hitti
a good is a prices very low but a quality is average or worse:evil:
make sense to manufacture them locally i guess so you don´t have to ship them around the world, if the quality is not good that´s sad though....
But i already found something for you :) try:
www.alfamec.com.my
They sell "Pferd" who makes good abrasives.
I tried this at my work places:D:D:evil:
nooooooooo
Sadly it not available here:sad:
:(
How old the drill? I think it worth..
i dunno, but a new good chuck would cost what a new B+D drill would cost :)

Any idea if there are any discs still made in Switzerland all the ones here are USA/Canada/Germany/Asia.

The flap discs sold here are still made in switzerland.

hmm interesting old tools + cheap too !

Except the number 10 that I was owned, I receive these last week :)

very nice !!!

I'll took some photos when I visit him. :) It will not happen soon though. we live in different cities.

ok cool :rocker:

No I'm not. I asked a friend who suggested it to me. I don't know if he looked at the tool before replying though. Maybe from prc is only the package. :dunno:

the price says made in china too ;)

btw. very nice Gedore collection !!!

Stahlwille: 30x36 & 10x11

very nice !!!!! Must be very old, 1950´s or early 1960´s

PB Swiss has released a VDE torque screwdriver...wonder if anyone has done this before?

http://www.pbswisstools.com/en/qual...um=Newsletter&utm_campaign=Neue_Produkte_2012

i think it´s the only one in VDE ?

These were my grandfather's. I use them a lot but never thought to add them to this thread until today. Reminds me of him every time I pick them up :)

wow cool !!!!
Is there a date somewhere ?

Anyone have experience with Proxxen torque wrenches? Am I right they aren't made in EU?

in a test the wrench only scored the 7th place.
It´s a little bit off in the low range:

seite176.jpg

Swedish quality, very ergonomic and nice tools.

the new replacement blades are now made in Taiwan...

Finally, my good old soldering gun in excellent company. The gun is way beyond puberty , probably 30 years old and made in Germany.

what brand ?

But it was the only one out of like 50!

some Irwin saws should be from Denmark...

No I don't need these tools. I use it mostly for drilling and screwing. So I need at least the speed control and forward/reverse rotation for the screwing.

I can recommend this drill:

Monte any recommendation then? What was the first place wrench? That wrench is a little pricey for middle quality. I wish I could have read that article...but.... I took a German class in College for a year but when we were done the VERY German lady teaching the class said we only had the language of a Kindergartener....and that has left me now!:bounce:

Guten Tag....I think.:headscrat

The Hazet is $300 torque wrench when you factor in the exchange rate, mark up for international shipping. Really nice ones , but very pricey.

but they will charge for international shipping, and US custom might slap a duty on the item when it gets here. So that 19% off for vat is lost in the transaction.

Hallo,

I don't want to go back to school :tantrum2: 5 years and a Masters degree is enough....I actually think I have Post Tramatic Stress Disorder from it...when ever some starts talking about college and stress, I have nightmares about missing finals!:D

WOW, $300 is a lot for me! I have no idea about international shipping etc...I will look around and see if I can find something in that top 4....Hmm...Meina Kopf est Kaput!

Tschüss! :bounce:

Hazet has couple of model, just the top model is around 300 for the CLT. There are less expensive CT models. But I can tell you international shipping is at least 30 dollars given the weight.

No school need for languages learning, Rosetta Stone. Works way better. That and a german wifey:)

Chad's toolbox.com has them....they are like $449 US....Mein Gott! To much for me...They have a Stahlewilli for over $1000 US. Schiza!:scared:

I think I need something more economical.:)

I think the German wife probably helped the most. I had friend that I used to work with that was from the Ukaine. He move to the States without knowning any English. I asked him what was the best way to learn a language. He said " I tell you.....move to that country without knowning any of the language......I tell you, that is the best way to learn!" I said NO THANKS!:lol_hitti

Uuze, I haven't seen any nice shops like that around here. You should consider moving your operation to Williamsport, Pennsylvania! :D (kidding of course!)

I'd end up going broke if there was a nice store like that around here.

Socket = Steckschlüssel
Ratchet = Knarre / Ratsche
Combination wrench = Ringmaulschlüssel

lol don´t worry your kopf will heal soon :)
A torque wrench should fit into a letter, so shipping to the US would be 7.-€ up to 1 KG or €16.90 up to 2 KG. Insurance is 2.05 €. Hazet torque wrenches start somewhere around €100.- so maybe your dream of owning a Hazet torque wrench (?) could become true :D
GJ member "jensputzier" is Hazet dealer...
http://stores.ebay.de/Jens-Putzier-Werkzeuge

Bought this for some wiring works of my motorcycle :D
Hey Phang, welcome back :) ;) Nice crimper

Thanks guys! I'm independent toolseller so I can sell pretty much what I want. Even I import Heyco, I can also sell Stahlwille, Facom, Gedore and brands like them. Reason I want to sell only top quality is that I sell mostly to industry and they want to use good tools even if they have to pay some extra. Theres also no need to waste time to warranty issues when working with good quality tools.

Lockpicker, I'm not sure what you mean, somethink like Bahco 80 series?

I'll send more pics about Heyco products soon.

Ps. Let me know if I start to speak too much like salesman...

When I bought this 3/8" Drive Flexible Crowfoot Wrench Set I didn't expect to use it frequently, at least not for my small DIY home projects.

I was wrong!
Just next day I found that a torchiere lamp in the family room started "playing". The entire lamp construction was kept straight by just one single nut in the base. Apparently the nut was not tighten enough when they assembled lamp in the store, the store guy simply didn't have a crowfoot wrench at hand but I did:
