Those T-handle wrenches are crazy nice! They look rather specialized and expensive, but aren't all the nice tools like that? And made in Italy too. Consider me jealous! I didn't even know they existed, but I want a a set now

Those T-handel swivel sockets are kind of tools you need learn how to use, they are so odd, but ones you try one out, you just love them.
First of all; You can get similar tool from you regural socket set, with socket, swivel, extension and T-handel. When using you can really easilly loos your socket as they come detach. With these tools you cant get socket or swivel out.
7mm and 8mm are awsom with hose clamps.

List price for modern similar set is 275€, not that bad.

How much is the Beta set? I purchased a new discontinued 13pc set (8-22mm) from the former president of Maserati NA last year....these T-handle wrenches are presumably popular wrenches for use with Italian cars and bikes.

my CHINAgermanswiss DWT grinder - I asked myself WTF? when I saw the label the first time. So far it served me well getting rid of the BMWs undercoating especially when you consider the low price I am more than pleased. A faster changing mechanism would be great but you cant have all the features in that price range.

I am wondering if monte can identify the red/brown "thingh" mounted on the wall - if I remember correcly you are from northern germany so you should know that :D

c16hkk3iteph2xvd8.jpg

some nice ratchets - they are not fine toothed and Iam missing the quicklock but they are really tough built. Might buy a QR model plus the 532 long range 1/2" ratchet in the near future.

Here is a some more pictures about Heyco and Heytec products.

very nice !!!!! Thank you for the pics !!!!

What's that Kress stuff like Mont? Looks nice...

It´s mostly considered a DIY brand i think, because it was/is mostly sold in DIY stores but they do make power tools for other (professional) brands like Wurth, Mafell, Protool etc. there is also a rumor that they make tools or parts for Hilti. The majority of Kress tools are "Made in Germany/Switzerland" with a few imports from China/Mexico/Europe like the 10,8 Volt drill from china, the rebadged Porter Cable recip saw and the rebadged Flex wall chaser etc.

For example:

We previously had a lot of "Kinzo". Time is now rare. I have a cutter on the "Kinzo". Bought in 2000. Quality is good. Now tell the funniest thing. Proprietary tools we have now is very small. All that is sold, much worse than "Kinzo"

Worse than Kinzo ? :eyecrazy: :)
"Interskol" is from russia i think ? There is another manufacturer in russia (forgot the name) who makes power tools + weapons

What is the quality of this set, and where the products?
I can buy a tool, which we propose to buy or not? Price 40 EUR?

From Taiwan afaik, sold at professional tool stores as a lower price alternative to Gedore etc. Quality ? i guess similar like Proxxon, KS-Tools etc.

Made in Capitalist Republic of China. :(
:thumbup::D

But for the price you won´t find any power tools made in the people´s republic of Switzerland anyway :)

Can't wait for more pics. :)
wait a few weeks ;)

very nice Beta collection !!! You should put them into a museum ! :)
The ratchet head looks kind of strange, like there is something missing :) The beam looks nice though, almost like Stahlwille fine tooth ratchets.

 there it is ! The DWT die grinders are the only reasonable priced die grinders available here i think, so i guess we will see them more often in the future (?) at least in my hobby workshop a electric die grinder is among the most used tools (angle grinder, drill, die grinder)

These "Turbo-Igel" /"Turbo-hedgehog" brushes are good to remove underbody coating too i heard:

Ive got one and only tried it on a bumper mount. Its a bit too aggressive to the surface in my mind. Leaving a rough surface - a wire brush is not so hard to the material. Dont know how long it will last but for the price of one "turbo igel" you can buy some more high quality wire brushes.

btw: holsten knallt am dollsten ;) I miss those Flensburger bottles :D

No. Interskol - is China. But there are some products from Europe. They bought a few plants. For example Casals. But what of the Europe-expensive, as well as products of famous brands. Interskol - Russia is just as DWT - Germany :) :)
We have long been the fashion for a pseudo national brands :)

Weapons and tools in Russia - is izhmash. Make a weapon and a tool bit.

Thanks, I was so lucky to be able to buy these.
You press one of metal buttons down to change direction and when you do so other button pops rigth up.

I show this ratchet to Beta importer and he told that he never seen one with this kind of mechanism and they started to import Beta tools in 1985, so these tools are older.

Well, since Monte said I should post pictures here they are.

I got the 1/2" Facom sealed head and a 1/4" Wera Zyklop.
IMG_1349.jpg

IMG_1350.jpg

IMG_1352.jpg

IMG_1354.jpg

Bought more sizes for the Gedore 7-R (12, 14 and 15mm) and also a 13mm 7-UR.
IMG_1357.jpg

IMG_1358.jpg

Got smaller sizes for the Facom 440. 6 and 7mm.
IMG_1361.jpg

When I got a Stahlwille series 50 set, there was some error and I got the 10mm as series 52 instead. So now I got a 50 in 10mm to have a correct set. And a 52 13mm also so the other would not be lonely :)
IMG_1367.jpg

Needed a deep 1/2" set, got the Proxxon deep set. 4-24mm in 1/4" and 1/2". No stamping, the sizes are only etched... :/
IMG_1344.jpg

IMG_1346.jpg

Teng Tools 3/8" deep set. 10-19mm.
IMG_1370.jpg

I don't use deep sockets much, so got cheaper brands only. Deep sets are expensive!

And lastly, a Knipex 150mm Cobra.

i thought they bought Felisatti from italy and transferred the machines to russia to produce there ?
So only Izhevsky produces power tools in russia ?

Weapons and tools in Russia - is izhmash. Make a weapon and a tool bit.

How do tool stores look like who sell Izhevsky ? You can buy a rotary hammer and gun in the same store ? :D ;)

The tool not only to make the in Izhevsk. Here's an example here

There is also a producer, but he does not have a website. I'll throw off photos in PM.

I can tell and show a lot. But I have difficulty with English. :(

thanks !

We have no guns allowed. You can only get permission to a hunting shotgun. After five years of ownership you can get permission to rifled hunting rifle.

Unknow82,

As always, love the NOS Beta stuff, especially that ratchet. Always nice to see that.

Tjofrasse,

Nice purchases, and nice pictures! Love the looks of that new Facom sealed-head. Beautiful design.

Heyco Formel Plus with new interior.
11022012112.jpg

uuze,

Thanks for showing off some genuine German-made Heyco stuff. Taiwanese-made Heytec on the other hand...:spit: ;)

Interesting brad-point drill bits. I've never seen ones with that relief cut that runs along the spiral body.
Perhaps it operates with a cooler temperature than the standard types?

Awesome "Anvillo" vise!!! :rocker: Next time I go to Turkey I'll take an empty suitcase. :D

BTW, I never posted these photos from my trip to Istanbul, Turkey. A post vise at some small shop along the road:

Oh, that's a BMI level hanging on the wall.

The other photos are of a Beta hose cutter. I think I saw a photo of this a few pages back, rebranded to KS Tools. No COO on the tool; more than likely from Taiwan. Made from aluminum, IIRC.

I forgot to post some more pics from my last Lee Valley trip:

A re-run of some made in Sheffield, England chisels: Stanley "Sweet Heart" chisels.

My only pic of a Japan-made tool: cool looking Vessel "hacking knife"

Some large wood workers' calipers: made in France

A cool pocket knife that's made in Solingen, Germany.

:)

i can understand everything !

ah i thought it´s like in the US where everybody can buy guns :)

Interesting brad-point drill bits. I've never seen ones with that relief cut that runs along the spiral body.

yeah i guess so too, less contact area , lower chance to burn the wood. maybe also a extra "flute" for better wood chip removal

Awesome "Anvillo" vise!!! :rocker: Next time I go to Turkey I'll take an empty suitcase. :D

:)
How much weight is for free ? Vise = 17 KG :)

BTW, I never posted these photos from my trip to Istanbul, Turkey. A post vise at some small shop along the road:
looks rural :)

I forgot to post some more pics from my last Lee Valley trip:

Have a link to their website? I noticed on all the new footprint tools(chisels, planes, etc.) Sears is carrying the made in Sheffield is missing and they look different and the packaging isn't as crude...

Do you know google ? www.google.com

http://www.footprint-tools.co.uk/index_home.htm

http://www.footprint-tools.co.uk/made-in-sheffield.htm

http://www.footprint-tools.co.uk/factory-tour.htm

from the website:
"We continue to control our own forging, heat treatment, machining and grinding operations in house, enabling us to be able to stamp the world famous words “Made in Sheffield” on 95% of our tools."

The wood chisels and the planers are part of the other 5%.
I don´t think (because of readind the GJ since 3 years) that
the average Sears consumer would spend 100 bucks for a english made plane ? Maybe the "Lee Valley" customer, but at Sears... ? With the "coupon mentality" ...no chance...

There are english made chisels from Stanley and planers from switzerland, USA and Canada widely available...
