ahhhh ok !
Link don´t work here ("Unfortunately, access to this particular item has been blocked due to legal restrictions in some countries."...) but i found this :)
http://eu.glock.com/english/index_outdoor.htm

Do you know if it´s from Austria ?

I'll ask my neighbor if I can get pics of his. :)

Yes, I used to have one. Other than the odd Victorinox or Wenger it was my first old world tool. It works well but the rust resistant finish wears off after its first use in rocky soil...

just read several reviews, it seems the Glock spade "e-tool" is NOT indestructible, so i think i´ll look out for one of the Bundeswehr e-tools (aka spade :))

Had one similar to the one on the picture when I was in the army. It was old Yugoslavian army stock and it was made in Yugoslavia under licence of some sort... Hated the ****** thing. Managed to brake quite a few... That screw is their weak spot.

Interesting that people had the Glock ones to fail, I abused the hell out of mine(I used to believe if its Glock it can't break...) and it worked fine. :bounce:

Are those Bundeswehr made in Germany and available new here?

Also heres something of interest. I wonder if its propaganda or since its a not for export product they decided to make it correctly...

LoL... That Chinese shovel video makes me howl every time I've seen it. First saw it last year.

I have a Cold Steel shovel and sheath, that I purchased of ebay for $25 shipped. It is very sharp and robust, fun to throw at stumps, chop down small trees or fire wood, break ice, shovel snow when my vehicle gets stuck, and all around great tool.

some wrote they broke the handle and some that the spade/metal part bent, so they suggest it for light duty work. Pro: light weight.

How to understand the inscription "Made in Europe"? In Europe, many countries

The address is Belgium and its not uncommon for them to have Made in EU or Made in EC for goods coming from there. Why? Dunno maybe they don't think Made in Belgium is as cool as Made in Germany, France or Switzerland. Also possibly components are sourced all Europe, I just don't know.

@Monte What do you think on the whole made in europe thing? Also I know they have finished radios in stores but this is the first I've seen made in Europe instead of designed there... Also if you know of any still made there I would love to know, I know Philips made some in Austria in the 90s(maybe earlier...) but not sure about now.

A lot of goods is clearly not from Belgium, have the inscription "Made in EU"

BW field shovels are readily available in Finland: BW shovel

But most of us prefer Fiskars SA field shovel (Finnish Army issue): here is the current model which is quite expensive

The old model is also very popular and way cheaper if one can find one from the surplus stores. It looks like this.

But I have something that I am sure you find interesting. My dad bought this this Soviet multitool in late '70s or early '80s from some surplus store.

It's very interesting. I'm not so never seen here. There were a few others. They have a knife inserted in the handle of a shovel

I have the same wrench (1142). How do you know it's made in Japan? Mine have no COO on it as I can see.

And welcome to the forum admirer of a good tool.

That Fiskars shovel also comes as the Gerber NATO shovel, and can be had for $35-$45 in the USA.

Sorry about late reply - I actually don't know what happened to my Hazet socket. I have to call CSI I guess. Many people have had access to the set for many years and still do. One of them must have found frozen bolt or nut somewhere.
