COO is Country Of Origin. Where the product (or major part of the product) is made.
Made in Germany means that COO is Germany.
Thanks to answer the question:thumbup:
Nice tools mrtools. Love those Gedore ratcheting wenches. You have Monte as your personal shopper now? :rocker:
Shhhhhh....he's my professional tools consultant and he's also a good guy who help me to get my dream wrenches:)

and don´t forget to add the value loss so after a few years the car is worth almost nothing :(
you right..
i hope so :)
:headscrat
i guess slovakia
thanks for the video:beer:
nice tools ! ;)

Steinel plastic rods for welding:
Steinel paint scraper set:
nice:drool:

Mrtools is getting caught up. Thanks for the compliments. I don't have any pics from my plant. This is the company though: http://www.toyo-at.co.jp/en/news/index.htm
you are welcome!
Woow.. they do the interesting business

Scored a South African made Gedore 3/4 socket set on CL!
Congratulation! It look really light and solid set.
I also picked up a couple of Hazet ratchets from a different CL deal, a 72 tooth 1/2 916F and a 3/8 8816, my 1st Hazet ratchets.
Awesome old Hazet ratchet, more details pics please:drool:

@jw80
Nice Finland, Czech Republic and Sweden made tools..here too many China made Fiskars

New arrivals:
Format hammers and offset scredrivers, Wiha hex drivers, and Facom universal cutters.
nice:drool: do you bought tools everyday?:headscrat
The Wiha hex drivers are German. I've now got a set each in 200mm, 150mm, and 100mm. I spotted a torx driver for sale on ebay, German-made and by "AMF" that shares the same handle so I suspect these are also made in the same plant:
Have a set of Wiha T hex drives, it replace my faulty old Beta, the plastic handle resist to almost workshop chemical and sorry to say the tips is more durable than my old Beta.:D

tools in action
Great pic!
the big Leinen + monster Flexs + stylo guy...awesome:rocker:

Thanks! The wrench is not marked with a country, so probably Argentina or something. It's an older model, that I bought for €2 for this very purpose.
the most exotic drawer holder I ever seen for really €2..awesome!
My boxes are CoTech, the house brand of the swedish ClasOhlson DIY-store chain. Probably available under lots of other brands, they don't have their own production. SEK 1500:- for the top and 2000:- for the bottom, a bit over $500 together. Boxes are expensive here..
here too:(
I don't have any proper cabinet or tools trolley for my tools, one of the reason is the pricesssss:lol_hitti

Nice 7UR set, I'm jealous!
:)

I have some new purchases to post also. Got this plier:
no COO? but it's still a good quality tools right!

on a japanese tool page i once found a pic of a (older) Knipex crimping plier, next to it a japanese crimping tool which looked similar.
owned one Japanese crimping plier, but mine is too old I think:)

My new signature right there. Brought back some memories of days of lesser tools.

What an honor! :) I have edited the message to fix the spelling also now...

the most exotic drawer holder I ever seen for really €2..awesome!

The total cost was + a 4mm drill bit and some bolts also :) But I'm happy with the outcome, without a handle it was much more work to open.

here too:(
I don't have any proper cabinet or tools trolley for my tools, one of the reason is the pricesssss:lol_hitti

I tried for a long time to get by with cantilever boxes and such, thinking it was better to spend the money on the tools. But having order and finding tools easy is worth much I think now. I have already grown out of this box though...

no COO? but it's still a good quality tools right!

The snap ring plier and the locking plier are marked with Germany. No COO doubt there. And the electrical multi plier is still a quality tool, much better than the cheap ones.

owned one Japanese crimping plier, but mine is too old I think:)

Cool!

Ah, I missed the error but I have fixed it too. ;) And yes, cantilever and other portable boxes only takes you that far.

^^Nice PB Canuckian!

Been after a set of these for a while. I knew they were made in Wiha's plant in Vietnam, but they were such a good idea (magic tips) that I thought I'd give them a go.

http://www.wiha.com/international/R.../Wiha-Werkzeuge-presents-a-tip-top-innovation

Surprised at the build quality - excellent. Wiha are putting a bit of effort into these items by the looks of it. Time will tell if the material quality is up to it, but circlip pliers don't get a hard time generally.

Canukian,

Did you win lottery? :D
How does the ratcheting compare with a Snap-on?
no sir, no lotter winner here. Just a normal working stiff that bought a few screwdrivers. The 3 red ones are for my work bench and the insiders are for the cars. The ratcheting action seems similar to Snap On's but they do seem to be nicer to use IMHO. The handles fit my hand a lot better than anything else I have. It's the same grip pretty much as is on the Swiss Grips I picked up from her a few weeks ago. I instantly liked those so I figured the ratcheting ones were a natural progression.

What is that like 400 bucks? Those new insiders are nice.
Nope, not quite but yes, the insiders are nice.

Needed a big set of internal snap ring pliers. These were pictured and listed correctly, but arrived as external pliers. Seem super nice, though. Sorry for the pic, but my iPhone lens is all scratched up.

Thanks! Most tools have already paid for themselves as I do a bit of car maintenance myself. At £100/hour dealer rate (US $160) you don't really need to do much to start saving. LOL! Love the tools, an absolute pleasure to work with!

Wow! nice stuff ALX! They make your Bahco box look like a 20" in the photos. I like how the drawers slide right out to the face of the box and not 2" shy where you have to dig to get those items in the back.

WOW nice thanks for the pics !!! Very beautiful ratchets !! Even with a scan ! Sweet !:rocker:

Thats a lot of nice stuff for a DIY user !! respect !

How good are flex tools, never used them. But I like that they have a removable base corded bandsaw in the 300 euro range. Thinking about getting one.

Most of their products are professional quality but they also buy a lot of things elsewhere (entry level tools) so i wouldn´t buy everything from them. The Flex band saw most likely is a rebadged Porter Cable Porta-Band.

Excellent tools Alx.

I love the colour & style of the Bahco toolboxes. How does their quality compare to other brands please? Do they have any aspects you are not happy with?

Thanks, K.

Alx - Wow! :eyecrazy:

Bit of a ways from the Hazet Assistent (which was also nice) you posted pics of not even a month ago. Proof that this site is more than a little dangerous :D

The bench is looking amazing as well. How about a pic of the whole garage?

Thanks! Bahco boxes seems to be re-branded Snap-On/Blue Point boxes. Even sticker on the back looks the same. They are made in China though. Castors, shape and lock are very similar to Snap On KRA and Blue Point counterparts:

They are a big step up from the Halfords Industrial boxes I have. The steel is thicker and the box feels much sturdier. Overall I'm very pleased with them.

Thanks man  This site is dangerous for the wallet but empty plastic trays are even worse!!! You get the urge to fill in the space, even though you're unlikely to use the missing bits any time soon! Very dangerous, you've been warned :)

I'll try to take some pics of the garage next week as I need to clear all the rubble first. Also, I'm keeping the other Bahco roll cab after the winning bidder messed me about and failed to pay/collect (I knew it was a sign to keep it!) It is now full with stuff sitting next to its bigger Bahco brother! :D

yes, i have this one:

1549235.jpg

"Metec serie 60"
http://www.metec.eu/flash/ebook/met2012/de/index.html#/18/zoomed

i like it. For the price it´s good, the wheels are good, you can open the drawers 100%, the drawers lock into place so if you drive around with the box the drawers don´t open. Cheaper competitors often don´t have this feature. The drawer slides are also better than other boxes from "Wisent" or "Husky" etc. from "Bauhaus" or similar stores. There is also not much side wobble if you open the drawers. To open the drawers you have to push a lever which runs across underneath the lid (?), some competitors have only a small lever on the right or left side to open a drawer. The steel of the box + drawers is thick enough, not too flimsy, sure there are better built boxes from Snap-On or Waterloo but also much more expensive.
But i like it better than the others or the entry level Hazet/Vigor box.

picked up bosch laser line, this compare the laser line to my laser level 3 way pointer. The bosch laser line is pretty small. And you can use painters tape to put up the mount, and it will hold it with the laser line attack.

today they celebrated 30years of bmw engine building in steyr so I went to their production plant that is only 40km or so away from me to shoot some Hazet carts for you :D didnt shoot too many pix because taking pictures was not really allowed.

They amazingly produce over 5000 engines in one day - its the biggest bmw engine production plant world wide.

Havent seen one single gedore, facom cart only hazet stuff. Everything was cleaned up for the event so not that many tools lying around most of the stuff was locked up or hidden somewhere.
