nice set

@ Bhae
Nice cantilever toolbox...do you know the COO? France?
I'm looking for the big and a good quality cantilever toolbox to store my tools. It's now overload in my Toyo ST-350 toolbox :D
for the last 2 month I do a research about the cantilever toolbox..

new version Stahlwille 8105 (no STAHLWILLE stamp on the box), no information about COO, the price is OK, considering the price, I think it not German.

Gedore 1335L COO? maybe Germany due to the price :shocking: but it look very good in quality..awesome box;)

Hazet 190L not sure, most of the user said German, the quality is good too.

Facom BT.13A the price is very good...not sure about quality no COO maybe Taiwan.:(

Tone 2215 and Toyo GT-470 110% sure made in Japan :D
both made by Maeda Metal Industries and Toyo Steel Company Ltd. Japan, I think the quality is very good due to my experienced with my old Toyo ST-350.:D

The most expensive and big is Gedore 1335L but the most weight is Toyo GT-470:D.. maybe Toyo have to many dividers + 4 roller caster.:bounce:
:headscrat STAHLWILLE vs HAZET vs GEDORE vs FACOM vs TONE vs TOYO :headscrat
maybe someone here can help me :)

For my new and not finnished, garage, bought my self a Beta C57P MasterCargo, ...and I like it!
mastercargo2.jpg

Aluminium shutter, not needed in my garage, but nice.

Usually there are workbench underneath, but due to limited space and I will make workbench with wheels under it, I bought just the table top part. (note that if you buy only tabletop part, you need to make sure your wall is strong enaugh and support it underneat)

Tools haven't found their final place, but I am getting there.

I have that knife as well, it is pretty nice, but they could have grinded down the top edge, it is not very finish. But you really can not expect that much for the price. It works well for things around the house.

Originally there were many smaller factories in the Mora-region in Sweden, Frosts, K.J. Nilsson to name a few. They were independant, but their products pretty much the same, hence the saying "a mora knife"...
Now there is only one factory left, which has taken the name "Mora" as a brand. They also sell a complete line of kitchen and butchers knives, nothing to complain about the steel quality (The stainless steel is from Sandvik (Sweden), the Carbon steel maybe german?) but the finish and design is more hmm...sufficient... so to say..
I like them as utility knives in the garage or in the garden. If i make a crack or dent, i can buy a new one, in Sweden a utility knife as shown will only cost 25 SEK (2½ Euro)! In my kitchen or in my pocket i prefer the german or japanese finish....

Collectors like a lot of the old Hazet stuff. Old VW guys are into it pretty heavy.

The Beta Master cargo is really unique. Can you share pricing with us? As well, anyone know where this type of unit can be purchased this side of the great pond? It's exactly what I have been thinking about, kinda peg-boardish, but more secure, and in orange!

You're in Winterpeg? I think there's a rep in California.

As for pricing - it looks to be about £800+VAT here in the UK (that's without the tools of course), so that would be roughly $1300 plus shipping and GST?

beside Beta MasterCargo:

Gedore also makes very similar, litlle bit more costly and MasterCargo has more holes in toolpanels to make it more versile.

Cool! I got one a while back in the regular green and black. Now, is this one actually stamped to be 1000V rated as the handle coloring implies? :shocking::headscrat

most of the mechanical component like Air end, Separator unit, Unloaded valve and oil/air cooler was made in Belgium. Spare parts mostly from Germany, but an electrical component like drive motor and control board mostly from Mitsubishi Electric Japan.

That´s right....but like you said.... for that price.... The Bahco one has a better finish though (stainless steel)

Maybe because they make the stainless version blades themselves, but buys the carbon-type blades from another supplier
From the website (www.frosts.se):
>>Craftline TopQ Allround (similar to the Bacho knife)

The complete TopQ range has knife blades made of the highest quality of Swedish stainless steel available. (Sandvik steel, my note)
The knife is extremely sharp and it stays sharp for a long time. Furthermore, the patterned, double-moulded, high-friction grip is ergonomically designed making it an efficient, comfortable and safe knife to use.<<

About Steel Quality, they write:
>>Steel Quality
Three steel grades are used for knives from Mora of Sweden
Stainless steel (S)
Knife blades are made of hardenable stainless steel- Sandvik 12C27 (hardened to HRC 57-58)(Same hardening as my kitchen Premium F. **** Knives, my note), producing knives with extreme strength, long life as well as having high resistance to moisture without rusting.
Carbon steel (C)
Knife blades of high carbon steel can be hardened to HRC 59-60 giving best possible sharpness to lowest price. Knives made from above mentioned steel grades will after some use achieve a dullish grey finish. However, this will not negatively affect the quality of the blade. On the contrary it will somewhat improve the resistance to corrosion. (imho, that´s true in a very limited way; That´s how Corten steel works, where the rust surface protects from further corrosion; But in this case, the cheap high carbon steel will just continue to rust deeper and deeper... (my note)
Laminated steel (L)
This steel grade is unique to knives from Mora of Sweden. The core of the blade is of high carbon steel surrounded by a softer alloyed steel layer. A high hardness (HRC 61) can be achieved through hardening, resulting in a knife blade with superior toughness, cutting edge retention and thereby maximum sharpness and long life.
The blade can also be bent into a predetermined shape. <<

Most of their utility knives are made in two versions, i.e. carbon- and stainless (sandvik) versions. The laminated steel is solely for their hunting knives (comes in better finish, hardwood handles and leather sheaths).

My Arboga grinder

I would suspect it is made in 1950's or 1960's as electrics seems so old

Comppany that actually sold this machine is "Engineering comppany Browin Stockholm" love when it was custom to insert retailer plate to machines.

yeah the Gedore boxes are nice. The color is beautiful :) But i think the other boxes are nice too and the tools inside of the boy are also more important because the tools get the job done and not the box :) So maybe the box doesn´t have to be from Gedore but maybe the tools inside like the Gedore ratcheting wrenches ;)

the Tone box looks good too

That's very interesting Monte. What's the thickness of the steel plate you have cut?

it´s 4mm "normal" steel (construction steel, S235)
so far the cheapo plasma cutter works fine, however sometimes it don´t ignite properly.

maybe someone here can help me :)

The gedore is the best that I have seen so far. But the price as you mention is prohibitive.
One Elora that I had wasn't any special. Wasn't made in Germany.
The Hazet looks really very nice but the price here in Greece wasn't that good.
The Facom looks good and the price is reasonable but is exactly the same with others cheaper than that.
The Pastorino (yea right, the brand was in a sticker) that I bought hasn't something special but it can do the job at half the price of Facom. I've overloaded it for a year now and hold up well. The quality seems to be the same with the other made in (Taiwan?). Downside, the sidewall needs attention to transportation (like all long ones Ι suppose). For a price close to 35 euro, it is really good.

Here is some older pics.
View media item 15506View media item 15504
The Unior toolboxes are nice too. And the price is reasonable. I don't know how difficult is to find them though. The only issue was that it was a little tight to open and close probably because it was new. I try it at the store. It looks a little better to me than the others (excluded the gedore) but I can't be sure.

17960.jpg

17870.jpg

So if you can't buy the one that you like the most get the better that can do the job, for the lowest price (and in the color that you like :lol_hitti).

How much you can find the tone or toyo?

A tool from work.

The beast!!!

Thanks! Looks like it made some hard work very easy (dispite some igniting issues). With a grinder or hacksaw you could not make such nice curves. Like it! :rocker:
