Do you mean like these? I have never use this type of extractor.

BrokenBoltExtractor.png

Only these but they didn't do very good job.

00966202000-1

For those that I bought I can tell that I like them. I used them mostly in damaged allen bolts and they doing great job. Although I have broke one. My false, I use a ratchet instead a T-bar which tends to bend the extractor.

You can see it in the video.

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Y0oCPEFC2II" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I also like these because you can use them in both direction (like the square type) to break the corrosion. From rennsteig.

62K1604.jpg

These looks like they have less chances to break from all of the above. Looks like they are the best for broken bolts in blind holes. I like them because they are one size from beginning to the end.

That does it, I'm moving to Greece. Not for the weather but for the weather forecasts!

Special for you. :D

The carolus is older model of Gedore?

I don´t own any yet...... Koken´s are on my wishlist....

I found a store for koken after I order them from beta.

I wanted the bolt extractor to be the best quality because they have more chances to break and then it's a pain in the ***. The screw extractor are nice because they have the hexagon head.

Hi fellow Dutchman! I live a few kilometers from Eindhoven .

Try this company: http://www.debruintechniek.nl/

They are in your area also and give a very nice discount. They also have other brands: Facom, Format, Bahco, Wera, Wiha, enz enz.

So you're also a Brabander? Let's bring out Guus...

I've been to Eindhoven. Nice little town...

Wrong town: You should have visited 's-Hertogenbosch. Even better...

I won an auction on Ebay and i 'd like to know if this E-TOP torque wrench is a rebranded Hazet.

It's a Kabo from Taiwan. The same as in the new Carlyle brouchure from NAPA and (for example) Skandia in The Netherlands.

I have a 10-100Nm and a 30-210Nm, No problems yet but I can't tell you if they are still accurate. Haven't had the chance to check them yet!

One nice feature: You can push the square drive thru to the other side.

Carolus Wanted 2012

20-200NM made in Germany 75 Euro + VAT

hv030425-500x500.jpg

Carolus and LUX (= same) are also Kabo's. Because of the 20%-rule they state 'Made in Germany' when they are in fact also made in Taiwan!

Today I bought some used tools, a set of Elora sockets(10 to 32mm).
They are not in the best state, but they will do until I find something better.

Also I got: two extensions: one Stahlwille and one USAG, a Gedore universal joint and two sockets.
All for €10,-.

elora_zpsfd35324d.jpg

rest_zps7e47e612.jpg

I wanted to try those Facom Le Tag socket insert labels. I got a great deal on them from my local Facom dealer.:D
They work great, but on some of the smaller Elora sockets, the fit is very loose.

:willy_nil Free Giveaway :eyecrazy:
I have got two spare sets of the "Facom le Tag"inserts to give away!!
The first two people to pm there adres, will receive a set by mail.

They work fine but I' m little scared with this thinks. A friend call me today and ask me if I have an extractor for extractors. He broke one in a blind hole.
I don't know about the price of koken, I don' ask, but the beta should be cheaper.

The hexagon might be helpful to work with a wrench.....hhhmmmmm

It's easy. Buy bolt extractors from koken and screw extractors from beta. :D

I've had some great luck with the square type of taper extractors, have never used the spline type though.
The Rennsteig looks interesting, wouldn't mind trying them.

Most of the times you can remove the broken tap with a punch. But I guess you already know that.

The extractors for taps are like these.

Interessting magazine ! Will watch out for it.

Regarding the car jack. In my local area, no shop offers this... but I found some good ~200€ stuff with 80cm lift height. They look decent.
But first I will build a nice DIY in my Garage.

On-Topic: Just bought a set of Rahsol/Gedore wrenches... the first in my entire life :D

Lindström pouch

finally some tweezers which actually work !
I own a few myself, and they're definitely nice.

If you're interested, they're actually made by Ideal-tek (here). They offer styles Lindstrom doesn't carry in their catalog (they reduced the tweezer line), and perhaps better pricing. :)

I'll try to help, but not with exactly the same pliers.
A comparison between the KNIPEX 02 12 240 and 01 06 190.
Comparison_001_zps30b15a15.jpg

Comparison_002_zpsefafd1da.jpg

The Lineman's pliers open 3 mm more than the regular combination pliers. But the big difference is the leverage - 190 mm against 240. The 01 06 190 come only with VDE handles - no plastic dipped, no regular dual component handles.
