Hi everyone!

After long reading of the "old world" thread I finally decided to contribute something myself.

Hello Monte, I have read one of posting before regarding German imports; Vigor is the cheaper version of Hazet, are they made outside of Germany? Is Heytec the same version as Vigor for Heyco tools. Thanks. (I'm kind new to this site.)

Vigor is all the way Chinese, you find same tools from your local "China shop"
Hayco has best 1/4" ratchetnd other good stuff, but Haytec is similar to Vigor.

I paid 284 Kn (~ €38).
Got it directly from Unior distributor for Croatia (comet.hr).
Prices can be really high if buying from local stores (nearby store asked as much as 400 Kn (~ €50) for this box).

One thing to note as I also have larger 912/5 box, this 914/5 toolbox is bit easier to open because less stiff joints.

The reason that little camera has a larger sensor then most point and shoot camera on the market, letting it capture much nicer details and better low light ability without the flash. And match the larger with the quality leica glass. You have one of the best point and shoot camera out there. The Panny LX cameras are very good point and shoot cameras.

Interesting, I was in the market for a new DSLR for higher quality photos, I'm impressed by that point and shoot and the quality of the photos, very nice.

i have been meaning to post up a picture of my oral B toothbrush for months

I might put up a photo of my german made toaster. Shocking as it may sound there is still one company that makes their toasters in Germany, Ritter.
there are still a few german made kitchen tools left...universal/bread cutter, water cooker, coffee machine, fryer...

With good lighting the LX cameras form panny are excellent. Other that are good pns camera with the 1/1.7 sensors are the olympus xz camera, and the canon s100.

But if you want a compact camera, the canon gx1 has a sensor almost the size of a dslr camera. Can not change lenses, but it takes excellent photos.

Got some goodies today in the mail. I was sick of changing batteries in my digital caliper, so I went simple and old school. Helios 7" vernier from Germany, and Stalax 26" vernier from Sweden. The Stalax is missing the set screw for the fine adjustment and there are two small nicks on the main bar, but it's still pretty smooth and tight, and I got it for under $1 and inch.

Found these in an Cat excavator that came from overseas. Anyone care to guess the manufacturer? They feel very nice in your hands but are super thin.

Alessi makes a toaster that's supposedly "made in Italy", or at least the Amazon.com description says it is. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NBP7T0/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Hi Guys,

New here but seems a good place to ask if anyone has a idea, on how I maybe able to locate a replacement 1/4" Open Box 14 spanner (that someone needed more than I did!). A long shot I know.

I have been checking ebay for about 3 years for one. I did manage to find 3/8 - 1" box 14 series in the UK about a year ago. But a 1/4" is a very rare item. I did try place a large order to get a re-run of production but got a flat NO!.

Thanks for the link - I have brought that one. Inc post is about $50. I have asked to see if he has another + a 5/16" that will complete my 2 sets but looking at his shop I don't think he will have more.

Again thanks for your help.
