What about the Knipex? No coo on the tool.
if you take a look at the Fumasi shears on page 38/39:
http://www.fumasi.it/catalogo/index.html?page=34
they have a similar look but lack the hole in the handle....
There are other similar looking shears ....:
http://www.ecef.eu/products/forbici...o-rivestito-finitura-lucida-manici-in-moplen/
.....but i don´t know if they are actually italian or imported too.... However the imported Erdi/Bessey shears i have work too...

I want it too.

(...)nice sturdy-looking old wrenches, a bit on the not so thin side of the spanner world though... (...)

OK, you call that "thick"? These are from a friend of mine - from his fathers garage. He couldn´t throw them away, so he asked me to take them. Got them together with a lot of other nice tools, but i´ll get back to them later.

Old, german (i guess...but SAE sizes, so...?) thicky stuff:

View media item 30596
One is from Saltus, other wrenches have no marking except the sizes...which again are a bit mysterious - 5/8" isn´t 28 mm - maybe "28" is just a standard for this company?

View media item 30595
I can´t imagine i´ll ever use these, but like them though...:eyecrazy:

View media item 30594
12 mm thickness on a 17 mm open end....:eyecrazy:

View media item 30593
And now to something completely different...oiling gear:

View media item 30592
This small oil can is from KABI. Made in Denmark. I keep it filled with ATF oil, my daily "universal oiler"...http://www.kabi.dk
View media item 30591
Brass pump - very nice made.
View media item 30590
This is an old swede - made by "Press och dragdetaljer, Kristdala". All brass.
View media item 30589
View media item 30588
I think i did spot one like this on a picture from Monte?
View media item 30587
It´s a german made Pressol Spezial. Tinned plate and plastic pump. Hard to get a glimpse of the pump on this picture...
View media item 30586
Now come on, all you rusty bikechains - i´m ready

Ps. Would really like to say a nice comment to all you contributers here - but it´s truly overwhelming - so many nice tools - Belzer, Facom, Gedore and Victor (a new brand, I must start to look for)...these tools can become an obsession...but keep them coming...

yup :D
for 20.- incl. s+h... .... couldn´t resist :D ;)

For 20 euro? Me neither! Nice find.

wwwwwwwwwwwwooooooowwwwwwwww nice !!!!!!! Belzer + Kukko :pimpflash:drool::rocker::beer:

I was watching this belzer for 3 years, every day that I was entering in my dealer shop. It was time to get it!

Received a care parcel with a bunch of 13mm combination wrenches from Cosmik Binturong !!! :pimpflash:rocker::beer:

Your 13mm wrench collection has grew up quite a lot. How many do you have now?

Thanks north. That was I was thinking about but did not seemed to be a spiral locking. Maybe I should take a closer look. Thanks!

Thank monte. Lots of info as always!
I was not very happy from my imported Bessey locking shear with the bending nib. The facom (also imported) is nice thought.

This is even nicer!

And now to something completely different...oiling gear:

Nice oilers Roverbo! :)

Re: Bahco adjustable wrench

I'm not 100% sure about that one, but I have the version with the rubber coated handle and it had made in Spain on the packaging (cant remember if the wrench is marked though, will have to look)

I sent an email to Bahco. I am waiting for a reply.

The maybe "original" version from Frosts, Mora - Sweden?:

Moras version is first a knife, then a chisel...The Kirsch is the opposite with the straight handle, and the ability to use a hammer on the end?
Like all multi-tools they are...sort of half-bad tools to any job
...and the price is much better too....12.- for the Mora...thats pretty good :pimpflash:thumbup:

yes after 3 years it was time :) actually after 3 days it would have been time :D ;)

whats a locking shear ?

@Monte....i´m also curious of your 13mm collection !!!! :D
i currently have 49 different brands/types of 13mm combo wrenches :)

Nice oilers Roverbo. That 5/8" looks like a Whithworth size. 5/8"W = 27.94 mm.

North, you´re right! Just took a measure in the garage. Love english cars, but their measurements....just weird:eyecrazy:

I sent an email to Bahco. I am waiting for a reply.

Very exiting if they will answer. Maybe we should send more mails to these giant "global" companys...

Stabila levels and rulers are my favorites...loved that old slogan "Das Mass des dinges". But like the Ritter chocolate, "Qvadratisch, praktisch, gut" they weren´t able to translate into a similar bashing english slogan..."Sets standards"...as blunt as "Chocolate in a square". ;)

...and the price is much better too....12.- for the Mora...thats pretty good :pimpflash:thumbup:

I think it will cost around 8 Euros in Sweden...you´ll find these no-nonsense Moraknives in every farmshop in Sweden...sold on the desk like chocolate, toothpicks and newspapers.
From the few Kirchen tools I own, I would say that they have a better finish though. Could justify the pricedifference...

Just remove this clip with a small screwdriver and you can take it apart.

Thanks man. I did it.

You are right, but it was a little expensive (for me) and it's not a tool that I use every day. But when I needed it..
;)
Also the price that I get it was very good.

BTW in my dealer shop, I also found out a NOS Belzer set with deep offset wrenches from 6 to 22. :bounce: Yes made in Germany.
I don't get it.
Yet!
I don't need it.
Or maybe not?
Maybe I fount out a use for them.

And some dowidat sets with open end and combination wrenches. :pimpflash

whats a locking shear ?

Locking scissor? This one.

The cutting was right but after I had problem with the bolt. Ones it loosened I never can made it work properly again. It used to crinkle everything thin. My brother has the same and he is happy with it. He also has the German made and he is pleased with both.

i currently have 49 different brands/types of 13mm combo wrenches :)

You definitely need one more!

Nice find Lok! Some infos? Weight, threading (M6, M8 or M10?), price?
For whιch bearing holes this extractors are?

I don't know the weight but the impact should be 700 grams. It is commensurate with the gedore 1.35/1A. The thread is M10.
The extractors are from 14 to 19 and from 18-23. The smaller has a M7 thread and needs adapter. The bigger has a M10 thread.
I never learned the actual price of the hammer. I get it 50 Euros including taxes. The gedore 1.35/1A cost something close to 70 + taxes.

Lok, look at the shafts - not centered at all! Looks like something from long time ago, where "every tool" was locally made - and you could find cheap european tools that were **** like todays chinastuff...What was the price?
On the other hand...looks like a lollipop display, and if the price was right, I would buy the complete card
Me: "I would like the whole card"
Salesman (with german accent): "What would you uze ziis funk-schraubdreiber for?"
Me: "Display in my garage"
Salesman: "No no..zis iz only for ze radioworkz..."

my father had some screwdrivers like that when i was a kid which were w-german made, and for all intents and purposes the quality was pretty dire.

Think i may have one still kicking around, which was formerly a philips screwdriver..... (its now an awl as the end was so soft that it rounded off, then got reground to a point) but yeah, back then not all German made stuff was equal quality

those do look cool though :)

 They are nice for display in the garage but not only!

They are not only inexpensive but also cheap and they have crapy handle but..
These screwdrivers are very decent because the cost something close to nothing and they are strong enough. I use them, or better abuse them very often. I use them only with wrong way for every job you can imagine (not as a hammer though ).

3 Euro for the card. ;)

These are are also made in w-Germany.

Α year, or more, ago I bought these..

I still have some of them. Τhey took all the hard - dirty work and when they rounded off or break I threw them.

When you don't have the right tool for the job only two thinks can help you. A hammer and (or) a small screwdriver. But as a hammer you can use any tool (except the small screwdriver).

For all intents and purposes I found the quality very descent (for their price).

edit: Also you can use one of them when you don't find your screwdriver or you can lend it to someone who asked for a small screwdriver.

A few arrivals from the last few weeks:

Makita 1/2 impact wrench

It is a heavy beast and I don't particularly like the dual direction trigger. It does seem to have plenty of power though.

Made in Japan.

I also picked up a tatty, forty year old box for £60.

It is home made and very heavy duty. Folded out of 1mm steel with all the corners welded up. Strong clasps, hinges and handle.

Wow £60 for a box I hear you say, well then some of you may be interested in what was inside-

Yip, a full Gedore 1/2 socket set - AF, Metric and Whitworth sizes.

I have given everything a quick clean. 4 or 5 sockets have some minor chrome chipping in the edges and there is some light rust inside, but considering this set is 40 years old, it really is in excellent condition and shows how well Gedore stuff holds up if looked after.

I love the box and am going to keep this as my new carry set and flog the cheapy set I used to use.
The inside is currently wet with paint (I literally poured it it in), but I will stick up a photo with everything in place in a couple of days time when it drys.

What a nice collection!!! :)

Some tools from work..

Crappy photow from my cellphone. Sorry for that.

The big socket wrenches are from gedore and matadore. Both with a lot of use. Cheap screwdrivers, acesa, unior unknown marked w-germany, and gedore.

Question for the European members. I am looking at getting a 4wd drive car/truck. On my short list are the mini countryman Diesel, BMW X1 and the VW tiguan. Any opinions on these 3. Figure they will be my work tools as I work in the mountain area around frankfurt and the 4wd would come in handy in the snow and it will be a tool form the old world. In the US I would just get another jeep. But not a good fuel economy option for Germany.

Only 49 !?!......:scared:

How many wrenches you have total ?

yeah i know....:D.... but some more wrenches are on it´s way....i don´t even have Stahlwille 13mm wrenches yet :wtf: :)

total ? i don´t know exactly, but the Excel list says i have:

- Belzer: 8 metric deep offset box wrenches
- Beta: 8 metric open end wrenches
- Craftsman: 17 SAE combination wrenches
- Craftsman: 4 SAE line wrenches
- Facom: 17 metric combination wrenches w/ ratcheting open end
- Gedore: 5 metric line wrenches
- Gedore: 10 metric open end wrenches
- Gedore: 12 metric ratcheting wrenches
- Gedore: 16 metric mini open end wrenches
- Hazet: 11 metric open end wrenches
- Hazet: 20 metric combination wrenches
- Hazet: 4 Torx wrenches
- Hazet: 8 metric flat box wrenches
- Stahlwille: 7 metric combination wrenches
- Stahlwille: 7 metric deep offset box wrenches
-----------------------------------------------------------------
= 154 wrenches

+ 49 in the 13mm collection and a open end collection which includes a few other wrenches of 22 pieces and like 2 dozens from the flea market...

mmmm, no. :D
actually you do have fifty 13 millimeters combination wrenches:
oh yeah sorry forgot about that one :D ;)
Thnaks in advance :D :) :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

But like the Ritter chocolate, "Qvadratisch, praktisch, gut" they weren´t able to translate into a similar bashing english slogan..."Sets standards"...as blunt as "Chocolate in a square". ;)
quadratically, practically, good :D whats so difficult ? :D ;)

From the few Kirchen tools I own, I would say that they have a better finish though. Could justify the price difference...
the "Bauhaus" sells a Mora Knife for 7,95. I think it´s a very reasonable price for what it is and where it´s made.

You are right, but it was a little expensive (for me) and it's not a tool that I use every day. But when I needed it..
;)
Also the price that I get it was very good.
yeah these things are expensive, hence i don´t own one.....always looking for a inside bearing puller too, to remove some bearings from my rear axle....but well...maybe next year :D

BTW in my dealer shop, I also found out a NOS Belzer set with deep offset wrenches from 6 to 22. :bounce: Yes made in Germany.

did you try to warranty it...? maybe they exchange them ...?
no problems with mine though....

btw. the scissor collection :)

You definitely need one more!
