Hi again! There is my new socket set from Proxxon Industrial! What do you think about it??
I paid for this 50 euro.
Monte, do you know how much the Lux tools (rebadged NWS) pliers cost at Obi? Are they much cheaper than the NWS?
Blöckw@rt, is it made in Germany, made in USA or just Chicom adapted for both markets?![]()
don´t like the ratchet but the rest is okHi again! There is my new socket set from Proxxon Industrial! What do you think about it??![]()
@Monte: thanks for the add'l info on the abrasives. What are you recommending for other types of abrasives? Like grinding and cutting wheels for the Metabo 4-1/2"?
more expensive than NWS...

Alright, thanks. Not worth the trip to Kleve.
Now I have to look for a shop near the border to buy NWS![]()
with a square handle shape ? or just translucent ? With a square ( +translucent) handle..... I dunno....Maybe Monte knows some more brands that make similar drivers?![]()
My ratchets,
1/2 Elora - Heyco - Facom - Beta
3/8 Facom - Beta
1/4 Kraftwerk - Beta - Gedore

Beautiful ratchets Nostra! How many you paid for Heyco ratchet?
nice collection !! Which one is your favourite ??
I just noticed that the 2 big box stores here in Australia have added nws and knipex.
Plier Set NWS 3pce Pro Allround 775-3, $60
Plier Set NWS 3pce 775 $50
Knipex Power Pack, $56
Better than the Assembly pack from ebay.de for $69.
Not sure which set to go for. Had my heart set on fantastico cutters, but cant find them easily anywhere.
Seems to be more love for knipex cobra than nws.
EDIT: Went and got the knipex, but was full price on shelf ($110+). Had to get them to price match their own website. But cant account for rival store asking similar price for nws set.

Monte, that's exactly the kind of stuff I was looking for. I should have been a bit more specific. Square handles are my preference (from my SK set that is currently my go-to favorite), but not necessary at all.
It does appear that the Elora drivers don't come in Phillips/flat though, kind of disappointed about that. But those Witte drivers are b-e-a-u-ti-ful! I'll be picking up a few of those for sure.
Monte, I have to ask another favor! Might you have any Stahlwille screwdrivers laying around?I'd appreciate a picture or two of them close up. I'm fairly certain they're of the all-black variety, but I'm not sure if they're available anymore.. I'm ordering a few wrenches from Samstag pretty soon and I figure I might add a driver or a ratchet in there while I'm at it.
Also, might I ask which European brand you find has the "best" screwdrivers? I know it's pretty subjective/opinion based, but I figure you of all people would know best. I don't mind strange handle shapes (I especially love my Felo torx drivers) so anything goes really. For as much as I care about the aesthetics, durability is most important

here some more prices from today....cheaper Lux/NWS line with blue/black handles...:
the set on the right for 42.- might be interesting. Included are 200mm needle nose pliers, 160mm side cutters and 180mm combination pliers. The most common pliers for 42.- instead of 52.- individually...

That´s a difficult question ....i´m only a DIY user...so... difficult to say something about durability....I prefer drivers with smaller handles like Felo 550, Hazet Ultra, Elora, Athlet, Wiha 3K..... But I´m happy with my Wurth(Felo) and Wera driver durability so far...Also, might I ask which European brand you find has the "best" screwdrivers? That are some good prices for the NWS pliers !I just noticed that the 2 big box stores here in Australia have added nws and knipex.

sweet !New Gedore Tools

Unfortunately I don't really like that style.
The latest acquisitions:
Ko-ken screwdrivers, 3/8 drive extra deep nut-grip sockets, window moulding remover, 3/8 drive deep sockets, 3/8 drive palm spinner and palm ratchet for use with the spark plug socket, 300 mm 3/8 drive extension, a free Felo screwdriver, Mitutoyo bore gauge, Fiskars tin snips, Hazet pliers, cutters and flexible 1/4 drive spinner handle, Facom 3/8 drive ratchet and 1/4 drive spinner handle -just 'cause we all love clear handles - and a set of Anex small screwdrivers and handle.

Reseda green is nice huh ??I think I paint my car like that

This bore gauge is very pricey! Is it for 6 to 10 mm? Could you post a closer pic please? It would be impolite to ask what you intend to measure with it?![]()
Yes, it's 6 to 10 mm. I bought it used - they used the 7.5 mm insert for a single project. The price was good enough not to bother with anything else. It'll get used during engine rebuilds.

sounds like a lot of work !

I´m looking into one of these small sand blast cabinets for my next vise restoration....? Maybe that would be an idea ?

And a better pic of the refurbished Wolf (for sale sadly -I really like it, but no longer have a use for it):
Well, that's not a reason to sell it!
)those look good too... too bad i already have some fine USAG ones...
uh-oh... stop showing us those Ko-ken extensions!!!

)Here you go Miskin... the quality is very nice. The bits fit in every socket manufacturer... I took the 17mm bit out of the Bondhus socket and tried putting it into the Gedore, it left a mark... here are pictures.

oh! another nice, shinny Flex!

reseda green - not olive green
seen from across the border it looks, you know, almost the same...
are the Wiha bits compatible with the old Yankee ones?
Well, that's not a reason to sell it!
+1
that's no reason at all to sell, except, of course, if there's a more feminine and insisting voice in the background telling you to sell it *now* that's another thing...![]()
I think a reseda green Monte Carlo would be very appropriateI think you should modify some spanners for the door handles and perhaps a Wiha handle for the shifter as well
I'd love a sand blast cabinet, but then I'd need a compressor of course. I'd love one of those too, but it's not likely to happen before I get all the current projects done. I do want to give the electrolysis a go though, so the Leinen might be a good excuse.
