Well Wgb made some quality products in the past,i looked in their catalog linked above,seems like they are just a importer of rebadged stuff now.

I was impressed with some of what I think - was a large selection of, old, WGB, 3/8 & 1/2 drive socket kits.

Unfortunately ... I spotted them at a farm clearing sale - and handfuls from the sets were scattered throughout boxes, all over the place ..

Lots of the sockets were rusting away in old coffee tins half filled with water ..

... and yet - the "good" sockets ... taking pride of place in the tractor shed, that bidders were competing over ... was a chinese or something stanley set ..

Could be, but I use it because it is non toxic.

I don´t know whats inside the Stihl product, the Bosch spray for example contains >60% naphta.

I was thinking along the same lines, only I was wondering which screwdriver company will come out with a World Cup theme handle/packaging.

Thanks too for the list of additional sources. I record all such in the database . I generally these days don't bother to look at ebay ( invariably they are too expensive, or don't ship to Australia). I do check some US sources, but usually only if I cat locate an EU source, or just to reaffirm the pricing window, prices can be an issue, and again American shipping cost are typically ludicrous by comparison to out of EU.


I have added Bauprofis, BHB, Handwerker and Online Werkzeughandle to my list of German suppliers (now 66 DE sources, and 442 tool sources), cross referenced against AMF of course. Thanks. None of which ship to Oz, including the Ebay De reference.

The attached image is a grab from my database showing some source prices, the and converted costs in AUD (no freight factored in). SO for a 93021, the cost ranges from approx. $21.42 to 48.80 AUD. Australian prices I would expect to be even higher than that.

I could source AMF clamps for you if you have no luck, but they will be 19% more expensive....

will try to find more info and maybe get a hand on that stuff.

i don´t know for what things do you need that tool but this might work for you (?) (if you have a Dremel )

yes ! now it´s official !

wanted the GST-135BCE but seller had a brain fart and sold it Friday so i was left with an incomplete GST-135CE(needs a few plasticky accessories only, saw's working well ). he had a GST-150-BCE too: feels like a piece of **** with Parkinson's disease when cutting. in the end, i'm pretty satisfied for having waited to upgrade the Kress jigsaw, it was worth all of the 70.00€ paid for it. including a few Bosch blades of course.

i actually have a fine whitish expensive powdery stuff "dealer" on the left and a Hilti user on the right, just have to get rid of the guy on the left, wishing that the cops won't burst the wrong door one morning...

nice, neighbour(Hilti-user one, not the cokehead) gave me this Saturday evening when i got back home:
three euros for fifteen clamps. and a VHS box. and a slightly used Hilti 12mm SDS+ concrete drill bit to top it off. not bad.

I guess it would be a lot of work collecting a whole set of wgb then. Even if a tool is rusty theres hope.These stahlwille tools were rusty as h**l,but cleaned up quite well i think.The flexi joint were bent and twisted too.Maybe the steel stahlwille use is easy to clean up?

i'm more of a Proxxon user since two of my Dremels burnt to death...

cutting polycarbonate/plexiglass sheets is one of the things that interests me with those almost single-use contraptions.

I dont know,but i doubt it.These are newer i think.the shop i bought them in switched from being a Hazet and Kamasa dealer to sell Bahco around 2005,so i guess they are made after 2000 some time.I havent figured out how the Sna people thought about branding after they bought Sandviks hand tool division.I have both Bahco and Belzer branded tools from the same era,maybe they had a hard time to decide wich brand to use? Or they did brand differently after where they got the tools produced? The model number on these wrenches are 1949m same numbes that Sandvik-belzer used. Anyway some watchmaker punches from Belzer

Why are their shipping charges to Switzerland almost twice the price of any other European country? The two countries border on each other... yet its cheaper to ship to the UK or Sweden which is miles farther.

Was thinking of having a order from TBS-Aachen sent to a family member who is in Switzerland for a short conference, but the shipping charges kill the price.

Switzerland is not in the European Union which may make a difference. In the UK, (from memory) our postal service has two sets of international rates, one for the EU and one for the rest of the world.

On the positive side, I think there shouldn't be any sales tax (known as MWST in Germany) on exports to a non-EU country. They may charge an import duty, though.

yep, Stahlwille makes finaly fine tooth ratchets with 80 teeth, the 1/2" one does only have 60 but the 3/8" and 1/4" ones are 80t (The shown one is the 1/2" but the others should arrive soon at work and at home )

here's the latest one, a biggie ratcheting crimper bought as a replacement for the one i misplaced/lost two years ago that i used for battery cables and the likes.

no brand but made in Germany and heavy as can be:

a wee bit "over engineered" as usual. it's german after all.


lost/misplaced was the official status of my old crimper or so i thought.

guess what i found in a box today, less than half a week after bringing home the new one?

battery cables for various vehicles and power supply systems were crimped with the old one. i might use the new one for stainless cables though.

and then, after 1989, were found to be useful as crimpers and so were sold on the civilian market as heavy-duty crimpers...

I have a few tools from the "Old World", but not any as big as this one for my first post. I picked this up from the son of the original owner that had it shipped to Alaska from Germany. not sure when that was exactly because the 70 year old son couldn't remember.

I really like my Leinen 150 vise that has 6 inch wide jaws. it weighs 112 pounds and the static jaw moves back just like my little Polish made FPU one.

I would like to restore it and wondered if there is anything special about taking it apart and putting it back together? any information you can share or pictures of other 150's would be great because in my searches i think i only saw one other one on the internet that i could find.

...to operate the tool with a low speed setting for several minutes so the tool overheats... But i think i mentioned somewhere here that Proxxon might be better Proxxon tools also contain german parts iirc and Dremel is mexican. If you want german made mini tools try Böhler/Kaleas

it easily come apart. If you fully open it you can remove the rear part of the vise.

Now you can remove the rear part:

The threaded rod is secured with a pin located where the red circle is (probably hidden under paint). So after you have removed the rear part of the vise take a pin punch and remove the pin.


Then you can remove the front plate (2 screws) and remove the handle with the tube.
