The only German made ratcheting wrenches are the Gedore 7 R and 7 UR range.
I took apart my Gedore 17mm reversing version to see how it works.....

I think it´s a rebranded Bessey.
If you look at the inscription on the sliding arm of this Bessey Classix clamp....
(letter codes and a rectangular "U")
....and the inscription on the Format clamp....i think it´s the same.
Bessey offers a "Classix" range since 2010 with "internationally sourced" clamps produced to Bessey standards. However over here the cast F-clamps usually carry a "Germany" or "Made in Germany" in the cast part of the clamp and the all-steel F clamps have a "Made in Germany" stamped into the rail (clamps with new style rail). However some Classix clamps seem to be made in Germany too:

The Stahlwille comes with a more expensive metal case not plastic. If you shop around it's almost the same price. I don't know who might be the cheapest in Germany for Stahlwille, but I normally use these guys

The pliers are branded HIT but are made by Marvel Corp, a Japanese manufacturer of electricians tools. marvel pliers have the best machining of any brand I own or have seen, they are very high quality. Marvel are one of the best plier manufacturers IMO.

New electronics pliers from schmitz. Box joint, induction hardened cutting edges, ESD handles, very precise machining. All 4 pliers for 95 euro delivered to Australia, which is very cheap for quality electronic pliers. I believe they are the OEM for CK and possibly wiha (?).

This looks like the European version of our model 2125 cordless 3/8" drill and screwdriver. Yours was made in Holland while ours was domestically made (in the U.S., of course).flea market find:

Schmitz is the ODM for CK Tools, Bernstein, and NWS's ESD line (yellow grips).

Wiha's are similar, but I actually believe they're producing their own (grips are different from Schmitz & the ODM's listed above).
Makes sense IMHO at any rate, given how invested/committed they are in the electronic tools market (precision screwdrivers, tweezers ODM'ed by VOMM, and now the electronics cutters & pliers).

I saw this Starmix ad, but no mention of a 110v version for us.
I ordered the Starmix ISP ARDL 1435 instead of waiting, which is even a generation old itself. The new ones are all 1600 watts (vs 1400).

The plastic handle on this looks a heck of alot like the older
PB Swiss/Baumann T-handle hex wrenches.
Same texture on the handle and same shape.

Even though the PB Swiss (Switzerland) and Wolfcraft (Germany) tools were produced in different countries, it's cool that they used the same comfortable handle. Thanks for pointing it out!

My sister lives and works in Switzerland and happens to know a guy who works for PB Swiss. So she got me these for Christmas. Because when I went to visit her, I only had hand baggage allowance, I couldn't take these home till now. Y'all care to guess what they are? Answer at the bottom of the thread:

And when I was out shopping, I happened to pass a combined tool shop and model rail store, in Belp, near Berne. Very cool place to spend 1/2 an hour, even if everything was 'reassuringly expensive'. I picked up a Promat 1/4" socket set with my remaining Swiss francs:
And as you've got this far, those PB doohickies are in fact Fondue forks....
