Thanks for the replies.

I am looking into a metric set that has the larger wrenches and has value. I am open to suggestions. Lighter and stronger definitely appeals. I have no experience with Hazet. I have the Stahlwille double box 70degree box set. I am primarily looking for strength, but not at the expense of access. I am open to COO. The Euro to dollar right now makes me think it is a good time to consider Hazet or Stahlwille.

Any suggestions appreciated!

i didn´t dare to test them in my impact...too expensive to fail
i did try some normal bits (Wiha/Schröder) in my GDR 10,8 and they worked but i only used them for 1 or 2 screws . Maybe i would try the PB´s in a 10,8 volt tool but probably not in a 18 volt tool

I seem to remember you recommending the Stahlwille open box 13 over the Hazet?
I ask because I am looking at a Hazet 600N set.
Any thoughts?

I think it was vice versa I would choose the Open Box 14 though (longer + stronger). I have a (almost) complete set of the 600N´s from 5,5mm to 27mm, as well as a set of 6 wrenches of the open Box 14 which will i also complete in the future. I think it´s more a matter of taste which to choose... Mercedes or M.A.N

nope Germany too Festool, AEG, Wolfcraft and Milwaukee (EU) jig saw blades are made in Germany for example and Hitachi offers recip saw blades made in Germany ....

They're rebadged Metabo drills. If they have "bl" in the model name, it's brushless. Metabo offers two brushless versions, one with hammer and one without, but the hammer one is about 30mm longer than the one without.

Thanks Blokwart. Nice pics. The Heycos look great. I saw some other pics you posted on other Heycos.....very nice. I am leaning towards the Hazet 600N set based on other reviews and some Rockwell tests I read. Also the size of the set is what I am looking for.

with hazet 600N you cant compare open box 13...or gedore's 7ur since they are slim jaw design. open box 14 and gedore 1B are the same league as 600N. I own gedore 1B 8-22mm like them,but if i had $$ and had to choose between 1b,op box 14 and 600n id take open box 14...

That may have been the case a LONG time ago but my 2003 BMW has 16 & 18mm all over it, and bolt head sizes are different than they used to be for a lot of metric fasteners.

I too have BMWs that I maintain myself. The oldest we have is an 83 and the newest is a 2008 all 3 series with a couple of M3s in the mix. I too have sizes 16, 21...the 21 I had to find in order to remove the nut on the lower control arm. the most common is 10, 13, 17 and 19 But I do Love my Facom wrenches and my Zeal low profile sockets.

if Koken make wrenches...
Maybe buy one wrench each so you can see the differences.
Maybe also start with a smaller set and add larger sizes if you need them later to keep the cost lower in the beginning.

Are there any Euro brands for stubby wrenches? All I can see are Taiwanese.

who made this ratchet for wurth?? body looks like facom,j 151a (which was rebranded as wurth before) but this one has the weird looking head,def not j151 head,it looks like a new facom palm control,but it has some letters on the selector,and i have never ever saw something similar on a new facom... any idea who makes it?
